  1. The only vote that has any real weight is an informed vote. Ask a number of people: "Why did you vote the way you did?" The overwhelming majority had no solid factual answer. The bigger problem is low information voters. If the number of voters that are "engaged" by knowing why they vote the way they vote, the flavor of our Congress and Senate would change drastically. The disease of apathetic ignorance is killing our country and electing the conductor of the runaway train. Yes, it is my opinion. You will be hard pressed to show me any factual evidence to the contrary.

  2. I am sorry if my posts are "upsetting" you. I refuse to be apathetic about what is happening with the administration in D.C. To celebrate the most important day in our Country's history and ignore what is happening to it is exactly the mindset that will, if allowed to continue unchecked, destroy the rest of the United States I grew up in and have grown to love. So, if "Here comes Honey Boo Boo" is more important than the future of our nation, continue to ask me to be silent. If the mods think I am out of line, they can ban me. God Bless America and The United States of America.

  3. Wish everybody a happy 4th. Enjoy the parade and fireworks. Here is a Chicken recipe you may want to try for your cookout. Cracked Pepper Chicken Ingredients 1 Large boneless Chicken Breast 1 Onion finely sliced 1 Teaspoon Ginger Paste 1 Teaspoon Garlic Paste 2 Tablespoon freshly cracked Peppercorn 2 Tablespoon Vinegar 2 Tablespoon olive oil Salt to taste Method Ginger and Garlic paste can be made in a food processer if not readily available at your grocery store. Mix pepper, ginger, garlic, and vinegar. With a fork prick a few holes in the chicken. Mix it good and put it in a freezer bag. Marinate for 3-4 hours. Heat oil in a sauce pan and fry the sliced onions till golden brown. Set aside to garnish the chicken before serving. Grill chicken on high heat after brushing olive oil and salt to taste. Use a probe thermometer to check internal temp. About 165 to 180F for well done is good. You can also bake the Chicken at 300F for 20 minutes instead of grilling. You can substitute Teriyaki sauce or Soy sauce for Vinegar if you like it sweeter

  4. By 1936, the "Progressive" movement had infected BOTH parties as well as the Supreme Court. "Precedent" is not synonymous with "correct" and nowhere in the Constitution is the Supreme Court given sole determination of Constitutionality. "Precedent" when used in medicine is termed "anecdote" and is dismissed out of hand; they same standard should apply Constitutionally. The Federalist Papers show over and over again that the commerce clause and general welfare clause were to be read _very_ strictly and narrowly. The Anti-Federalist papers show over and over again exactly how the to-be-created federal government was going to over-reach its Constitutional bounds. Despite the emotional hyperbole of many of those writings, they were correct.

  5. I have a few clients I'd like to sell. Let me know if you're interested and I'll tell you how much I'm willing to pay you to take them. Then we can negotiate from there.

  6. Are you saying that this is all a lie? There is video footage. A plane load of reporters were on AF 1. You can disagree with the administration politically but to say that he is unpatriotic as a President really shows how far certain conservatives are going to go to be totally dismissive. In my opinion it actually hurts your side.

  8. No public schedule July 3, 2013 http://www.whitehouse.gov/schedule/complete/2013-07-03 No public schedule July 4, 2013 http://www.whitehouse.gov/schedule/complete/2013-07-04 You decide. If he is not seen, is he really in the country?? Why would the President of the United States of America have no public events on July 3 & 4? With all the deceit we have seen from Washington D.C. tell me why I should not be skeptical?

  9. Reminds me of the tale of the farmer who won a million dollars in the lottery. Neighbor asked him what he was planning to do with all that money he won. His answer, "I guess I'll keep on farming 'til it's gone." As for us, I got our first ripe tomato today, the eggplant has flowers, the chard and beans are growing like gangbusters, and it's too stinking hot to go anywhere near the garden after about 8AM.

  11. Yep. I used to be a Republican. Treasurer of the Country Committee, actually. Today, I feel like what Reagan said. He said "I used to be a Democrat, I did not leave the party, they left me." I don't feel either of the two major parties today really has any principles, although some of their members still do. I will always be a conservative, and I hope Iive long enough to see a party that truly supports conservative principle consistently.

  12. >>Knee-high by the 4th of July.<< Haven't heard that phrase in a long time, but then, I'm not a farmer. Although, I did plant a tomato plant one time. Would that qualify me for a schedule F?

  14. Language can take some interesting twists and turns. Reminds me of the story about the guy arriving at the Boston airport after a long flight. He jumped into the back of a cab and blurted out "Can you take somewhere to get scrod right now?" The cabbie replied "Mister I've heard that question lots of times and many ways. But this is the first time anybody's asked it in the pluperfect subjunctive."

  15. It is not the governments place to tell partnerships how to structure their partnership agreements. Any more than they should be able to tell you how to decorate your home! Only when public safety is a serious factor should they be able to set the rules. But the thing no one is mentioning is the thing that bothered me the most when I read the article. That was the part about how the EEOC reacted to the company's objections. First citing a rule that the company was well aware of, and in compliance with, then refusing to even discuss it once that was pointed out to them. Just threatening legal action, which is clearly a bald-faced attempt at using the power of the government's deep pockets to cost them millions to fight for their rights.

  16. Odds are, though, that she will refuse to testify, get cited for contempt of congress, liberal groups will raise millions for her 'defense', and it will drag on in the courts well past the next national election. Whether she goes to jail or not, most voters will have forgotten who she is, if they ever knew, by that time. Only thing that might come of it, if she is cited for contempt of congress, she MIGHT lose her cushy paycheck, and that job overseeing IRS administration of Obamacare?
