So much for the rumors.....

Just as my recommendations suggested. Your system is very adequate for 2013. Do not worry about your internet connection. It will be completely sufficient for this coming season.

Are you kidding? Upper case only has been the recommended standard for any official government forms since I was a sophomore in High School. Now for those of you slow on the uptake, No two upper case letters look enough alike to be mistaken for each other. abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

NT Don't believe everything you read/hear on the net

By BRYNN GINGRAS NBCNewYork.com The New Jersey waitress whose story has been questioned after she claimed she received an anti-gay note instead of a tip on a restaurant bill was dishonorably discharged from the Marines last spring after she stopped showing up, NBC 4 New York has learned. Dayna Morales, a server at Gallop Asian Bistro in Bridgewater, had posted a photo on Facebook earlier this month showing the bill with a line through the tip area. The photo of the receipt showed someone had written, "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I do not agree with your lifestyle." A New Jersey couple came forward to NBC 4 New York and said this week that the receipt was theirs but that they had left a tip and did not write a note, suggesting it was used for a hoax. The handwriting, they said, was not theirs, and they also supplied what they said was a credit card statement showing they were charged for the total plus the $18 tip. NBC 4 New York learned Wednesday from a Pentagon source that Morales was dismissed from the Marine Reserve Corps in May because she wasn't attending drills. It wasn't immediately clear how often those drills were held, and Morales did not respond to a request for comment. She was stationed in Newburgh, N.Y., and began serving in July 2009, military sources said. A woman who served with Morales told NBC 4 New York that the commitment is a serious one. "I wouldn't want anyone to think she was a part of my Marine Corps family, because she's not," said the woman, who asked to remain anonymous because she is still on active duty. Others who say they knew her tell NBC 4 New York there were things about her background that didn't seem to add up. A woman who says she and Morales worked together at a Cheesecake Factory in Nyack, N.Y., last year said Morales told coworkers she had brain cancer. "She came in with her hair shaved because she wanted to shave it herself before she lost it," said Jacqie Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick said Morales also leaned on the cancer story to accept offers of help from friends at work. Then, she abruptly quit, according to Fitzpatrick, and her coworkers didn't see her again until she appeared in news reports about the receipt. The Cheesecake Factory declined to comment. Gallop Asian Bistro said Wednesday that it was still investigating and that Morales is not on the work schedule for now. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/53683016/ns/local_news-new_york_ny/t/military-details-nj-waitress/#.UpdvLJso5zm -

And we can safely KNOW that she is a pompous, self-righteous, lying, heartless ASS! -
It is not only the IRS. All of society give the mother the pass, and beats up the father. I took verbal and social abuse from 95% of the people I knew. This went on till my son was about 22. He discovered, figured it out, and started announcing what he found and knew to the world. By then, my youngest was a sophomore in college (I was helping, their mother did not) so most of what I endured could not be changed or repaired. However, the best part is that all three kids saw, discovered and now I have a wonderful relationship with all three. I do NOT regret anything I spent to provide and take care of my kids. I am just a bit bitter that their mother did not help more than $1,000 toward college for all three kids.

We are keeping a Windows XP computer in the network with 00, 01, 02, 03 & 04 programs on it. 00-03 are not compatible with WIN7 at all. 04 is a bit flaky on WIN7. We seem to regularly have clients with 10-12 years of unfiled returns that need prepared because the IRS finally found them. That is all the old machine will be used for.

The system still give the mother a free pass for almost everything, and fights the father at every turn. I have lived it. Facts and evidence do NOT make any difference.

I can speak from firsthand experience that Dads that choose to be responsible get shafted. 11 years perfect payment of child support and provided much more for my kids. I still received no respect from the agencies involved or the courts. My sweet revenge was when the kids grew up and saw for themselves what had been happening. I didn't have to say a word. They all came to me and told me.

Some people cannot see the truth as it stares them in the face. The customer was charged for the meal plus tip. End of controversy. The server is a heartless self-serving jerk. PERIOD. -
So they can bash the software.

But he cannot change the amount charged. That is the proof that the server is just an insensitive jerk. -

That information IS in the article. The customer DID pay a tip. Hmmmmmm -
Your calling me out on this is amusing. After all the hours of time and extensive testing an research I have done personally, Taxed has made derisive comments about everything I post concerning ATX2013. I am honoring my NDA to actually post information to reveal how massively uninformed and jaded she is against ATX2013. The firm and I are NOT having a "backup" program based on my experiences, testing and evaluations. Taxed is NOT being critical at all of the software she has chosen to use. (Drake) I am overdue for one of your "politically correct enforcement" warnings, so I figure this post will get it for me. Taxed's derision of my experiences, research and recommendations insults my intelligence as a professional. However, because I cannot post the items and information that would cause her to cease, I must become amused instead. My name is Jack from Ohio and I approved this rant!!!

Since you are not currently an ATX user, nor will you be using it for 2013, I fail to see any reason for you to post anything about pricing, operation or issues with ATX software. Please explain your continual "stirring up" of issues about ATX?

Jerry, I sent you an e-mail with my specific recommendations about hardware. I sent it more than two weeks ago. Here is the same information I posted in another thread... Posted 12 November 2013 - 10:09 PM The following information is the results of my experience for 2012 and my testing of 2013. I will not go into detailed explanations. You may accept my information or ignore it. I will not spend time trying to convince the die hard "old system works and I won't replace it" group any further than the information I am posting. My system recommendations: Operating System - Windows 7 PRO only. No other. Make the move from Win XP, despite any stubbornness you have about not changing. Get over it. It is a dinosaur and will not be supported by Microsoft after spring 2014. Hardware is inexpensive. If your peripherals do not run on WIN 7, replace them. Printers and scanners are cheap. Get over your fondness of the old stuff. 64Bit is nice, but will not give a substantial boost in speed to ATX2013. 64Bit will improve many other programs. Processor speed of 2.6 or higher will be adequate for ATX 2013. 4GB of RAM is sufficient. Any above that will not give increased performance. If you are using a dedicated server - Server 2008 64Bit (there are several versions) or newer. If your system will support 64Bit, up to 16GB of RAM in the server. The recommended list from ATX will probably be useful for ATX2014. Plan your upgrades now so any learning curve for new operating systems can be done before season.

You should switch to Drake and remove the stress of ATX from your life. You choose to be "wiser than all" on this thread. Changing is your best option. Stop stirring the pot that you are not going to participate in with confusing posts and information.
-
Believe what you choose. Your experience and research are obviously FAR ABOVE what I have. Are you secretly an ATX employee spying on this board? For the record again, the information you are distributing is misleading, and only partially accurate. You are refusing to answer the question about whether you are using ATX 2013 or not? I DARE YOU to answer my question? CHICKEN?? AFRAID? Also, quit acting like a computer technician. It only makes you appear silly to those who really do have computer knowledge.

Is the 2013 software going to split out PR again?
Jack from Ohio replied to BulldogTom's topic in General Chat
If anyone listens.... I have first hand experience and knowledge. The Payroll program will be separate and will be an updated version of 2012. It is included as part of MAX. Nothing new here. -
Easytax answered correctly. For the record, the answer to the question about "if the "server" file host fails or is disconnected from the peer to peer nework, will the rest of the users be able to run the ATX program to process returns without configuration" is the same exact answer as it has been for at least 15 years with ATX or any other "shared data program" on a peer to peer system. This fact is why I know Taxed is NOT a computer knowledgeable person. Just because you read terms like "peer to peer" and "hybrid" or "server" or "domain server" and read a little about them, does not mean you know actually what they mean or how they work. I will repeat. ATX 2013 will work properly on a Peer to Peer system. ATX 2013 will work properly on a properly configured and maintained dedicated server system correctly and properly for tax year 2013. Despite your doubts, I have FIRST HAND knowledge and experience to make these statements. Now, you have not answered the question of whether you are using ATX for 2013 or not.
-
I know that your question is invalid because you are "...not a computer person" and will not accept the statement that I made that "ATX 2013 WILL operate in a "Peer to Peer" situation, and work correctly." I do have information that makes me more informed and able to make that statement than the huge majority of people on this discussion board. My statements are from a solid base of actual knowledge and experience. Are you going to use ATX2013?

Seems that another "law of the land" has been challenged!! What say ye Taxed, should it be left alone because it was the law of the land?
