  1. You are still attempting to sound like a computer person and failing as miserably as the Obamacare site. <<<I think this may be helpful to folks who want to hear from the horses mouth!>>> You do NOT know as much about 2013 program as you would like people to believe. The "horse's mouth" is information put out by the customer service group. The "horse's mouth" gives out different information. Call tech support yourself if you do not believe what I am saying. Oh, BTW, if you are NOT using ATX for 2013, I would politely ask that you stop commentating on the product that you have not seen, nor intend to use.
  2. ?????
  3. My information was spot on. A word, in this case "server" can have multiple meanings. The only confusion comes when a person thinks a word has only one definition.
  4. You are not a computer person I can tell. Throwing the terms around does not make you knowledgeable. Peer to Peer is a group of computers working individually but all connected with a network. Each computer can work all by itself without any other computer in the network being on. The assignment of one of the computers as "server" (Maybe file host would be a less confusing term) only designates where the shared information will be stored. A true "server" network has a dedicated computer that is ONLY a server running server software. All computers have to log into the server (domain) before working. The server is the place where all files that are shared between computers are stored, and has security and access protocols on it. Again, everyone must be wary of information from people who do not have access to accurate sources. ATX 2013 WILL operate in a "Peer to Peer" situation, and work correctly.
  5. Peer to peer will work. It will not be called peer to peer. 2013 is truly a network program. You will designate one of your computers as the server. The program has been totally reconstructed from the inside out from 2012. Built properly this time. Pay attention and follow the installation instructions EXACTLY. Be wary of comments about the program from people who do not have accurate information to make them.
  6. I just go straight to the MTG when it is a question of being allowed or not. Saves much time speculating about what is or is not allowed. For tables and numbers, QuickFinder or TaxBook is faster.
  7. They took the same hard line with me. Mr. Marx will not respond.
  8. "I never received any notices" is probably not accurate, and will not hold any weight with the IRS since he has a proven record of late filing.
  9. Thank you for your service to our country! I was prevented from serving (medical denial) and I am acutely aware of the freedoms and liberty I enjoy because you and the rest of our military served as you did. THANK YOU AGAIN!!
  10. That is on my bucket list
  11. This has been my policy for all 7 major holidays for the past 30 years. We do not do ANY business on the Holidays for the reason mentioned in the picture. It would need to be life or death situation for us to do any business. On the other hand, I have been in line at 3:00AM on Friday after Thanksgiving to get some great electronics and technology deals.
  12. This is my kind of ham. http://www.honeybaked.com/products.asp
  13. New server is working GREAT! I can see the difference. Good Job.
  14. Entirely different thing, pure mercury and mercury amalgam. Mercury Amalgam is a mixture of Mercury and other metals. Not toxic. Pure mercury, in large amounts is toxic. Amalgam fillings are still used.
  15. It would take 10 years of electric saving from a power off strip on the TV to recoup the cost of the strip. The TV in "off" mode uses about 3-4 watts or less. Less than a nightlight.
  16. Do you know how to do a screenshot and print it?
  17. SCAM SCAM!! Do not return the calls. If the person calls back, hang up. If it IS an IRS matter, you/client will get a letter.
  18. Subject: Modernized e-File (MeF) ATS System Unavailable ________________________________________ The Modernized e-File Assurance Testing Systems (ATS) System is experiencing an issue. The IRS is working to resolve the problem as a top priority. Please refrain from sending any service requests to ATS until further notice. Please monitor the MeF Status Page for updates. The IRS will issue a Technical QuickAlert when the ATS environment is operational. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
  19. LEDs are the answer. It will be another year or two before it becomes money smart to install them everywhere due to the prices for the bulbs still being high. Competition in the marketplace will bring that down soon.
  20. You need to upgrade your CFL technology... I have personally had 2 different CFL units stop working and begin smoking in their sockets. Fortunately, we were home and detected the smell very quickly. I have gone to the black market to get 100 watt incandescent bulbs.
  21. Love my laptop...
