  1. print manager is faster because it prints what it wants to, no matter how you set...
  2. Thats funny, we did the opposite, took off AVG and put in the Microsoft Security Essentials and working better... just depends on your IT guy.. Mcfee-Never.. I know that I have to exit the program after 3 tax returns, cannot open any return with Form 8283 on it, etc.. Have learned what makes it crash. Just a few days from getting ProSeries conversion back and will no longer be tied to this mess... In my 25 years of this business, I have never seen such a catastrophic mess.
  3. crash, reboot, crash, reboot, crash, reboot... Dead in the water. 1 tax return a day compared to 15-20 a day... disasterous.. Cannot even open the file when a client is in the chair... 220 tax returns backed up on the shelf to complete with deadlines coming quickly. 5 weeks now like this... Will discuss with attorney next door. No income coming in at this point... Just waiting on conversion to come back to get started on new program...
  4. Progress??? I see none! You must have started preparing after updates? I have been preparing since 3rd week of Jan and nothing but issues. Good that you are able to keep going. I am dead in the water...
  5. I have nothing but crashes. Rollovers, to opening. I see another with the rename of the return. I take files to work on at home and when I import back to here, I have to rename it because it comes in as copy. I can't leave multiple files in the program-too many. That explains why i cannot pull up an accepted return to print it and give to client. I will have to reload and force the info so I can provide them with their documents. Programs is still crashing constantly and I am rescheduling clients so I can do conversion to a different program. Cannot take anymore. The clients come in and all I can do is take their information-no active interview possible with the program. This has been catastrophic for me, much less the income losses. If it wasn't for the for help in the forum, I would be completely dead in the water-5 weeks now and still nothing better... Now all of the IRS forms are going to be ready soon and I don't have the files ready to complete...
  6. My clients also come to me "for me" and thank God are willing to hang with me, for now... good luck on the new update. What a hoot this is. They have no idea what they have done....
  7. I believe Proseries is.. used it for 6 years before switching to my own firm and have used ATX for 7. No more. That is a good idea to reenter info as new until conversion comes back.. Spoke with rep and ProSeries time frame is 3-5 days but due to the influx of "new users", she is stating 10 days. Advised they are pulling all of their resources from everywhere to accomodate the "new users" and switchovers..
  8. Pro Series is stating 10 days for conversion. I have gone 4 weeks with out being able to work a full day. What is there to lose. They are not experiencing problems. What is 2 weeks when we are in the peak of client days and not working at this point. If you cn't pull up a file, then what?
  9. My E Filing is the ONLY thing that is working for me. Have transmitted about 47 tax returns with no problem, until today. I transmitted a tax return with Form 8283, it was accepted but I cannot open the file due to, get this, "the version Form 87 has updated from version 85". When I tried to continue, the system would crash. Now everytime I try to just open the file, system crashes... Would contact support but you guys are lot more helpful. Any one else having the problem, if so what direction are you taking? Other than reloading the file and forcing the information just to give her a copy? Thanks for youir help. BTW, my conversion to another program has started....
  10. I will not stay and see how it goes... Too much lost
  11. No-I will not renew and whether I prepay will be determined in the future. I am switching out of ATX today and will never come back.. This has been catastrophic for me and I have hundreds of hours not counting the income.
  12. Today my program is crashing and crashing with no relation to the forms being updated and I am just taking information from the clients to input when I can. One tax file-1040, sch A, crashed 5 times in front of the client. This has become castastrophic for me and I have my charge card out and calling Pro Series now. Will deal with refund for program later. Nothing to lose right now... Already lost thousands so far this year.
  13. I saw it online reduced from 1995 to 1595. Just do not know the conversion time yet
