Did this on one client's files and they had a lot of assets - very time consuming. The ATX solution is suppose to be a one asset in the file process to fix them all. It does seem to work.

Generally the font etc for tax software is part of the program code. It would seem that your system may be missing fonts or your printer can not properly interpret the instructions.

First the schedule has to be in the return. Then, check "notifications" in the 2013 program. There is a workaround there. Suppose to be fixed with 13.2.1 in mid January.

Have had W8.1 since its preliminary release in June, 2013. IMHO, an excellent OS - much more stable than W7. Normally by now, I would have had to reinstall the OS by now. W8.1 shows no signs of slowing down nor having issues. Have yet to find an application that had any issues with 8.1 including a 5 year old Bible software I have. The major complaint with W8 was the interface and people's normal reluctance to change. After that left a bad taste in the mouth of the users, nothing worked right. W8.1 greatly modified the interface. fixed some things and added features.

Jeff is the tech guy. He has helped me with sales when between the two of us, Lucion had my account confused. I have dealt with the sales vp and he is easy to deal with but only for special pricing when I already had another license and wanted to upgrade a second one I had. The software's excellent and not pricey. You can spend a lot more money and probably get fancier interfaces but for the price, you can't beat FileCenter.

Totally agree - all caps is very hard to read.

New for 2013 does not include forms based entry for any returns except for 1040 and 1120 according to the version I installed last night. I use PRP and perhaps that is a limitation I will have to live with since I don't need the unlimited version.

Experiencing similar issues with a few of the earlier 2012 files but these files were simply missing the FAM information. 2013 rollover makes an attempt in telling you how to fix it but with the data missing, the only thing to do is re-enter it.

Have used File Center for several years. It is a good, solid program much superior Drake's file manager. File Center is a great, inexpensive application for paperless offices, It provides the availability of printing and scanning pdf files as well as the ability to manipulate and annotate these files. Additionally, it provides an interface that lends itself to quick, easy location of the files. They have a free trial.
