  1. I am still wondering how many 2016,2017,2018 returns are in the hopper waiting. I know I have several.
  2. I did the bulk print by way of 4562 detail page then print page. It worked pretty good.
  3. My understanding is that Guaranteed payments do not qualify for the 199A deduction.
  4. Due to form changes, IRS changes, software changes, State changing mind every other day. I have about 50 in the hopper. I even had some today come in wanting to know if I could get it done by 5PM. It has been a real PITA to get info this year.
  5. The way I read it if tp files 4868 the 709 gets auto extended. "Any extension of time granted for filing your calendar year 2020 federal income tax return will also automatically extend the time to file your 2020 federal gift tax return. Income tax extensions are made by using Form 4868, Application for Automatic Extension of Time To File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return, or Form 2350, Application for Extension of Time To File U.S. Income Tax Return. You may only use these forms to extend the time for filing your gift tax return if you are also requesting an extension of time to file your income tax return. Did I read this wrong or do I need to file? No Tax is due.
  6. I am thinking same. Can you say how you come up with a price. Do not want to know # just some kinda idea.
  7. Judy it is asking for a signed copy of the other state return on the DE full year resident return. Does it have to signed(va py return). If I attach complete copy of VA py return doesn't the VA EF form take care of that?
  8. I don't think the time statue's would play in my favor. Interesting note was that back in 2018 when 2017 was due TP did file extension. Would that then move the date away from May 17th?
  9. Follow up. It doesn't appear that I can adjust the DE scha for a part year?
  10. I have tp (single)with DE income and virginia income. Almost even amounts. What I have though is about 18k in Schedule a deductions. Do I show on de part year return only those that was paid in DE?. Most of Ded's was from Residence in VA. It appears better to be full year and take credit for VA. Is this normal?
  11. In some of my reading I thought it was going to be SS#. This would prevent double dipping.
  12. Spouse needs to file a 2017 return. Sizable refund. Problem is Husband(83) went missing 2 weeks ago. His truck was found but he has not. How to file and how to sign? There is a carryover of payment from 2016 that I found.
  13. Just did one on 100k. It is listed as other on atx. Rather simple if all cash. What to charge??
  14. I get my yard mowed several times a year without asking. So I mark them as though I was paid.
  15. Yes all we have to do is wait for the form to correct itself or take it out completely. At least that is what I read.
  16. Being in VA and not that far away maybe we need a 3 day PARTY. I have been debating with myself if its time to go. 44 years
  17. I would like to see a state comparison similar to that of fed. Sometimes a deduction state but not on federal.
  18. On that deduction VA allows what FED allowed. NO more. Agree with Gail on this one.
  19. Thanks for the reply Judy. I had forgot about that one.
  20. I think a preparer who is not a cpa or an ea cannot use 2848. Is this correct?
  21. Just be sure you complete the income and adjustments section of the PY. Software does a good job at getting numbers right.
  22. I have a sole prop that runs a lawn mowing and landscaping business under a dba name. No corp or llc or ptr. The FID number is under his name. TP has now decided to open up a mini golf/ice cream stand under a DBA. Still under his name. I believe I can use the same FED#. My problem is when I go to create W-2 next year would I have one set under mowing and second under golf or would they all be under mowing since the number is under his name. IRS would not give us a second ID # unless we change form of business which TP doesn't want to do. Your thoughts
  23. Yes tend to agree. I have 3 in the hopper for not paying back. Clients say they can wait.
  24. Agree, and doesn't tax law trump divorce law?
  25. No I have a married couple in their 70"s. He got the eip1 and 2 no 3 as of this date. Spouse got eip1 but no 2 or 3. Other TP on SS only got none of them. Has dd for ss. I think since we can't look anymore I am gonna file her a return with the ss only and see what happens sometime probably in August.
