schirallicpa
My client owns storage units. He recently cleaned out one that has a number of stamp books. (Coins and lionel trains too. He sold the trains already. ) He's looking for someone that may be interested. Told him I'd reach out and see if anyone had a connection. Thanks. Catherine
I certainly don't; nor do I know anyone who does. The American Philatelic Society does have a page listing locations of their clubs, which could be a useful source for your client. https://stamps.org/collect/clubs I did a search on New York and found 23 clubs across the state.
jklcpa
Years ago when I worked at a firm, I did the accounting and taxes for a place here in Wilmington DE called "The Stamp Center" that is now called "Dutch Country Auctions". The owner at the time was Keith Marsh who is now listed as a senior appraiser. They buy, sell, appraise, handle consigned pieces. https://dutchcountryauctions.com/about-us/

Christian
As it happens this info is a Godsend to me as well. My grandfather was a rural delivery person in the 1920's. Among some items he left were 400 postcards from that time period in their original packaging and I need to determine their value.
EAinCNY
Try Mystic Stamp company in New York. They buy whole collections. My wife happens to work there.

They have 100+ employees. Never would have thought collecting stamps could be that big of a business. 20 hours ago, schirallicpa said:

There are a LOT of big businesses out there that I would have thought insufficient in interest to sustain a small club!
