  1. I agree, what would be the rationale for basis and less than 100 % taxability?

  3. Have you looked on eBay? I put in android phone and sorted from lowest price, and got some that were a couple bucks for the phone and ten dollars for shipping. You might find something that will work for you from there.

  4. Thanks for the offer lion, but I have never used an iphone, even though I am sure it would work on my plan. I have used Android for so long I would be lost trying to answer the iPhone. Tom Longview, TX

  5. I wouldn't have left ATX except for ongoing problems with my state Business Entity Returns. I find Drake more reliable, with much better support. There is definitely is a learning curve because Drake is not Form based. Drake's efiling process is much quicker and more reliable. Drake does small frequent program updates which only take 1 or 2 minutes. Drake definitely releases forms and state returns much sooner than ATX. The hardest thing for me to get used to was Drake has very busy input sheets, which can result in overlooking a check box etc. Even now after 3 years, it takes me a bit longer to do a return in Drake. However that's offset by fewer problems and better support.

  6. Must be a fun work environment for the employees. I assume the firm will be holding some team building exercises, potentially behind bars.

  8. I think you need to contact the plan administrator. My understanding is it is different for every person. Good luck. I have a friend / client who worked at Ozark Air - was purchased by TWA. Then TWA's pension was raided by Carl Icahn, went bankrupt and were bought by American. He gets about 1/3rd of the pension he should receive. Part of his Ozark Air pension is non-taxable but it was rolled into TWA and then American so it was complicated.
