  1. I had a Christmas tree outside by the curb for the city to pick up.....Not sure where it went, but it was gone that morning (and the city did not take it). I was also not thinking that evening and put my garbage out on the curb.....It also blew away....cans and all...looked all up and down the street...did not see any of it. The wind must have taken it all away, so if you are driving out in the country Northeast of Sidney and you come across an old christmas tree and some cans of trash, you know where it came from!
  2. ATTN: Software Developers, Return Transmitters and Authorized IRS e-file Providers/EROs It has been brought to our attention that an issue has been identified with Error Reject Code 0295. We are currently investigating the problem associated with this Error Reject Code. A subsequent Quick Alert will be issued when more information becomes available.
  3. I agree with you...but it sounds like maybe this e-file was transmitted without approval and without signing the 8879's? Although well-intentioned (trying to get client her refund fast by making deadline) this would still technically be the ERO's mistake. If my assumption of what happened is correct, it is still ERO/preparers's fault for sending whout authorization....So maybe a refund is in order. HOWEVER....If she instructed you to transmit the reviewed return and signed the 8879, then as others have suggested...no refund of fee. To answer your question...No, you cannot retract the transmitted e-file....She will have to amend and mail in the amended return. If her father's choice of preparers is honest, her "revised" return should be the same and you will never hear a complaint (or a thank you) from them. If, somehow, a dishonest preparer amends to increase a refund...then they deserve the audit that they will hopefully receive. In the end you will be proven right.
  4. Is the IRS accepting e-filed returns that include Form 982? I know that inituitally they were not, but I see that ATX has updated the form
  5. Of course, now the PIN Status now states "8453 Required" for all Ohio returns....I guess it would be too much to ask for ATX to get things completely correct
  6. If you go to www.myatx.com and log in, there should be links on the right hand side called "My Online Products" There you can access the online version
  7. I just want my frikkin banana!
  8. Has anybody heard anything or experienced anything with this form? I have two clients that are waiting on me to e-file (do not want to mail the returns). I am not even sure if IRS is accepting Form 982 yet.
  9. My e-mail from ATX stated that Express answers shipped and the other two books were on-line ONLY (Kleinrock's 1040 and 1040 Master Tax Guide)
  10. I know you could in the past...but if you still can, I have not been able to figure it out.
  11. I see that ATX has this Form 982 updated (Approved) as of Yesterday....does this mean we can e-file it now or is IRS still not accepting it?
  12. That is great news...I have at least one of those to do this coming weekend. ...Now if we could just get Piqua city approved ....Do your clients call you Booger?
  13. I like the big purple button that came with the deluxe version.....When I press it, a very tiny man with large hands runs out from behind mine desk and gives me a foot rub
  14. Yeah, Tom...If they got people, they must be able to get your employees all sorts of refunds....Especially since they can get them all sorts of employee expense deductions! ....Maybe if they would tell the whole story in their commercials, I would not feel about them the way I feel about the smell coming from Lenny the Pirate.
  15. I thank you all for your phone calls and letters of support....I especially appreciate the donations that have been submitted. However, the singing Bananagram was bit much....and kinda creepy.....the banana guy smelled like Lenny the Pirate. Although we could not locate the missing friggin banana, Your donations allowed me to purchase a batch of chaquita bananas....they may not be friggin, but still yummy on my peanut butter sandwich!
  16. Mine was in the mail box yesterday
  17. I also had the "No Updates" message on automatic, but updates were actually available on manual

    EIC ?

Would support also include the fair market value of the home (if owned)? If so this may increase the amount of support from the mother
  19. Darn it!...this aint funny!....Who stole my frikkin banana!?
  20. ....Wow....first 4 clients to arrive this season....all 4 have 8863 education credit
  21. I checked ACKs this morning and it was OK....but now I get an Internal Server error
  22. I have not prepared any returns that include the SD-100 yet...I will do one soon and let you know if I encounter the same issue
  23. Client is one of those affected by the AMT legislation....Someone remind me....When can we e-file these affected forms?
  24. Same here....We do have a great thing here, don't we?
  25. Janitor Bob

    OH ACKs

Ohio verified they were Accepted. then finally today, I received an e-mail from CCH (the e-mail address was @taxwise.com NOT @atx.com) telling me to do that synchronize thing...been there, done that.....If that did not work, he stated, "Please call Tech Support"....OK...any guesses on how long I will be on hold?
