  1. this 4 months was beta testing and it failed miserably.
  2. Sound like corparate raiders, just pay them self mult million salaries then leave?
  3. Still in beta, and by April 15 would say that they be ready for Release Candidate 1.
  4. look under your atx2012 sub-dir CCH small servicesatx2012backup. Unless you uncheck it, your backup should be there.
  5. Release too quickly i would say. Not enough time for beta.
  6. When installing under the server , you can't specify the local hard drives. So you have to use local harddrive c: d: mapped a network drive on the server such as (x: z:) to itself . When you install as network, instead under the default c:prog~ atx you have to choose the mapped network drive (x: z:). I know ...... and netsetup should also be done under mapped network drive.
  7. If you open the program under network. Then try to open a return and it crash immediately (5 secs). Did all the above fix ( delete assets folder, and . pref files). look under event viewer and I got Application: ATX2012.Loader.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: System.Runtime.Serialization.SerializationException Stack: at System.AppDomain.ExecuteAssembly(System.String) at Sfs.Max.Shell.Loader.Program.Main(System.String[]) Call tech support today and wait for 4 hrs. The problem was that when you install under the network. You suppose too install under thru the share drive (map to z: x: drive , etc) not the local drive. It suppose to just install one instance of database but if you install it under local drive it will create two instance of the database and create failures. So install thru networks drives.
  8. please post .network error and computers specs.
  9. Instead using shortcut on the desktop, look under program files under start button and launching that way.
  10. I got same kind error before. Make sure the server close all share session. Then replace all permissions again in advance button under security tab. I suspecting some all the files don't have security permission on them thru the update. Then restart client and server.
  11. Omg!!!! 12.8.214.4. It didn't crash. knock on wood!!!!
  12. Go into paperless folder and look for log sub folder. Post the most recent log if you can.
  13. Can you tell me how fast your computer is? i5? i7?
  14. Car analogy is pretty good but usually they have internal pro drivers to test out all the major bugs. It reasonable still have recalls and such but in lower frequencies then this. Right now is seems like higher percentage of the user have problem right out of the bat.
  15. End user don't really care what lies underneath, It can be dos for I could care. Long as it works. Seems like they didn't test the software at all. Anyone know what they're using for testing platform?
  16. Thank you for verified that using SSD in good choice with atx2012. I just want use a link that shows ppl have been using SSD in server 2 yrs ago.
  17. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-710-enterprise-x25-e,3038.html. The article was 2yrs ago. Atx 2012 is so badly written that I was force to use a SSD. Of course SSD is not for backup. Have ATX backup point to another directory for archiving and backup.
  18. one of your machine is prob point to the wrong sub dir. If you have a third pc it will be easy to figure out the problem. You need to creat different user names on each separate computer to see which one has the correct install dir. Use third pc to log on and see which one has the correct sets of user name. backup and restore to correct computer. Then you should be set.
  19. The share folder need to be share with full permission to allow write and read. Also under file permission allow full control to remote user. Make sure the the client pc is able to browse thru all sub folder under atx2012.
  20. Sound like the program need 6 gigs of ram at least......
  21. You ppl need to install or have Pro IT person to install SSD on your computer or server. The Atx 2012 is badly written program. Since it seems like it write/red every keystroke/field not when you click save or auto save on each form. Therefore is really random read/write really intensive. If you compare to latest SSD with random read/write ~40MB/s to HD random read/write ~0.5MB/S is no wonder why ppl have SSD have less of performance issue. Not comment on no testing or poor performance 12.6 yet. Currently on 12.5
  22. DId they ever test the updates? jeesh. I wondering what they're test platform if any. Any ppl here have no problem with 12.6?
