I have Quantum 08 and did not have that problem...but several more that are worked out now. Sorry I can not help you. I know you don't want to stay on line with tech support for hours, too.

I just did a download and it says it is still not able to efile. Maybe if I close the program down and open it might work. I have returns waiting on this to efile today.

I have had ATX since about 1999. It was so funny when the teachers brought this to our attention. Needless to say it was an expensive tax seminar. It was in Tunica......need I say anything else. Had fun though.

I have it on my desktop but not my laptop so when I get home I will try that.

I get the same message. I have updated, also. Closed program and reopened it. 1-11 is the first day for efile. I would like to know, too. This is the customer type that will be in my office the next week or so wanting their money as fast as they can get it. Hope it will be soon.

I finally got Peachtree to work correctly yesterday. Part of the problem after they did the fix on Monday was my fault. I keep telling it to print the employee copy instead of the employer copy. When I sent atx an upload the tech person told me I was printing a form with 4 up on a page. I went back and looked and I had been printing the wrong copy. Anyway I hope yours might be something that easy.

How's things going? I finally got my w-2 to import correctly. And yes I did learn something else at the tax seminar......Who is K C Jenkins? Is that your little pup on your picture? I tried to get my baby on as my pic but the pic was to large. Maybe I will take another and try before tax season end. Happy filing season!

I just got an email, too from atx. They said it would be a fix in the program update 1/11/08.

I thought it was worked out but NO. I tried to import about 40 W-2 from peachtree Quantium this morning and it still gives me garbage (stuff in wrong places, some stuff not there etc). Is everyone else still having this problem. I do not have time to stay on the support line for over and hour again today.

Just tried to import about 40 employees and I did not get anything imported correctly. Address were in all weird places. I was wrong last night that it was working for me.

I always like to hold mine until closer to the deadline for the employer to file. If someone has the wrong social security number it is much easier to correct it and give them a new one and fix it before you send them to ss adm. I did this when I mailed them, too. It is just easier than making those dreaded W-2 c's. Just a thought.

I did an update and deleted the old import and it looks like all my info rolled this time from Quantium.

9:30 am...I stayed on the phone for over 1 hour this morning. I talked to a tech that tried to help but she did not help or understand my problem, but I did hear about the electricity problem that they had and crashed several computers.......she then put me on hold and I waited again for her to find someone else that could help.....10:50 am had an appointment they I had to go to at 11:00 had to hang up but........I downloaded an update after lunch and all of a sudden what did appear not a miniature sleigh and 12 tiny reindeer but the info when I deleted to import and tried again.......Yeah...I hop the tech improves. Let me say this ,too. I emailed the problem Friday morning and got an auto email back saying they (ATX) would get back with me in 24 hours......Monday morning and no email response from them...I hop this is not a sign of things to come.......Went to seminar this fall and the one, and only thing I learned is the bunny's tail on the jump sign moves......Hope every one has a great season.

I use McAfee. It is on my lap top and desk top. I really like it. I had Norton before and nothing but problems with it. I can use it on 3 computers for one price.

I checked to see if I had any email from ATX (Sunday) about the problem that I had Friday and I do not have a reply. I looked on the knowledge base and last year it did not work because atx did not get the quntium software before they wrote the tax program. Looks like they would have a fix this year is was Jan 2007 from data base. Thanks for you input. I have about 200 w-2 waiting to be processed. I sure would hate to have to type them just to send them to social security. I can print them off for the employees copies and employer copy but I file my w-2's via ss web.

When importing my info from Peachtree everything did not import like SS#. All the rest of the info came through just fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have sent in my application to atx. I have already took care of the on line training with HSBC, I have not heard back from my application at atx. Does anyone know how long it may take? Can I set fees after that?

I thought it to be a little boring and underneath most of the stuff I knew already, but not like you kc I did not win my money back in the casino. I believe that it was to basic for anyone that has used it as long as I have. It was nice finally putting a face to a name though. Can't wait to apply the column widening process that I learned....Ha!Ha!

I was waiting to see what most of you guys do on your renewal. I renew early because it saves me money. I hope they do not let us down but in the back of my mind with all the stuff at the end of tax season I am very unsure.

I did send a letter explaining my displeasure with their dicision to shut the board down to better invest their money on the ATX software. I really like the site it makes me feel at home again.

I found this Tuesday and it makes me feel at home again. I do not post much but do read the post on the old site. I emailed and sent a personal letter to ATX about the displeasure of the shut down of the board and an unheard of time.....one week before the 15th of April. Hope all have servived the tax time. I have a few more extensions to finish but I made my 33rd tax season.
