  1. The amounts are paid seperate from the actualy contriburtion for the IRA's. I can not find anywhere in the code this addresses or in any books, from schools, etc. I do not want to make a wrong deduction, but it does look like they would be decuctibale as a bussiness expense.
  2. These are management fees. Charges for maintianing the accounts.
  3. Taxpayer (dentist) has sep for employees and self. Two different investment firms involved. The amount he has to pay on the employee plans for management fees is deductible. Are the fees he pays for his retirement plan deductible?
  4. Thanks Booger. Been seeing you post on the offical atx. I still can not bring myself to do that. My face still stings from the slap in the face last year.
  5. As I research the problem it says the person must (a) live with taxpayer.........or ( be taxpayers child or descendent of the child......which covers the son and grandchild but not the common law wife. Anyone agree? That is not a smiley it should be the letter b.
  6. Over the years I get flowers for Christmas,,,,even once during tax season. One client is amateur suclpture....Elvis bust....bunnie rabbit this year....From my clients that I would not charge for the ESP that I had done over the last 33 years.....Bundt cake....Caramel Pie...and yesterday a Crocheted Dollie.
  7. Client has answered all questions in regards to dependents as far as income and they provide more than half support..........with this exception.......Taxpayer pays for all expenses,,,,rent, utilities for a house that is rented for these GOOD FOR NOTHING YOUNG ONES to live in. They have no income, why not mama pays for everything. Son, mother of his child, and child live in this rented house......Does that qualify for taxpayers house? They lived there all year. I feel that it should because the taxpayer has all the receipts for rent, utilities, etc. But I'm not IRS
  8. Well, so what are you saying that this board will suffer or the Offical one will?
  9. WOW! I got an email that the official board was up for ATX. Well, I'll be darn did I miss the email from last year that they were shutting it down? NOT! I am sorry, but, I for know will still not post on that board. Is anybody as ticked as I am? What do you do? I would like to put a post on there but I do not think they would like it. Burn me once, shame on me, burn me twice shame on me again.
  10. Are you SURE that it is carried over with the SP return?
  11. I have not had that much problems with the software itself. The problem is when you need support it so darn long to get an answer. I believe that was because they were not trained with the ATX software as well as they should have been. The price increase is not that bad either. I have been with them since they were sabre a long time ago. I do not like change.....creator of habit.....old dog does not to learn new tricks.......I will probably renew BUT................I still am pardon the word.....Pisted...and the community board being brought back after all of you alls hard work on this board. I really like it here and I know I did not contribute much money but was waiting to see what my tax season was going to make before I made another. Well that's my 2 cents. With inflation you that not make it my Dollar?
  12. Would that be like telling the efile to do two things? If they want there rebate placed in their bank account why would they not give the account number for the tax due to be taken out of that account? I've got people that do not want the irs to have a bank account number.....I tell them that is silly because if IRS wants your bank account they can get it.....for what ever reason they need it.
  13. I have enjoyed this board and all the people. The problem is the way we were treated last year. Booger, have you long forgot the pain........Not me, but like having a baby maybe I will forget if they become as precious as my children.
  14. Where did you find that price? Has anybody even heard from them about a renewal? And Booger has gone to the atx page.......... :scratch_head:
  15. I have efiled 1065, 1120 no problem since Feb.
  16. Looks like no one is posting on the atx board. I am trying my best not to post, but I would really love to tell them what I think. I love this board. You all are my Tax Family. Everybody remember 2 weeks and 1 day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Congrats! I personally need a little granny time with my 2 grandchildren, but the weekend was so full of tax returns. I told them (the grandchildren) there is a light at the end of the tunnel, I think? You know thats why they are called GRAND! My 2 year old grandson lived with us for 4 months along with his parents.....missed that with the second one. They change so much when you do not see them everyday. May God bless your family and you, too. You have a plate full for this time of year.
  18. We should boycott the new web page. They let us down right at a crucial time last year. Why bring it back with 2 weeks to go!
  19. Well what do you know........Back by poplar demand....Have not demanded it this year...happy with you guys here. Mr. Kotter!
  20. I don't think you can efile a return for that year after the last deadline for fling is over,,,,,,,like 10-15
  21. Where does the signing of the 8879 come in to play? Do they fax this information back and forth or what? I'm I missing something here? I do this for my old tax clients, but they have to come in and sign the 8879 to give me permission to efile the form. Right?
  22. :read: I take offense to that. It is great to have blonde moments 24-7. Oh yea and what were we originally talking about. My husband had a great foreman one time that told him to walk fast, have a piece of paper in your hand, and look worried and NO ONE WILL BOTHER YOU. I love that little smiley.
