Our mistakes are easily corrected by the 1040X. A doctor's you would bury in the ground. Amend the tax return and admit you are human.

Is it just a single return? Sometimes it take several months for ss# to catch up with taxpayer when they marry. Don't know other than to call IRS hotline to verify.

Amen Booger! We bought or made a payment on a spa for the river house. Got it three weeks ago, New. Took it to the river and it leaked, then we had an electrical problem with it. Got all that fixed and finally got to get in it over the weekend. Love it! It was made in Florida so it is American.!!!!!!!!!!

We are experiencing very high efile volume today, 14th, and expect that to continue tomorrow too of course. We are seeing more "server errors" today than usual, and there is no action needed. Simply keep trying to send your efiles. This high efile volume translates into higher call volume to the CS Dept and our wait times are much longer than usual. We have added staff, increased hours, shortened lunches, and extended our closing time to 11pm tonight. This is what is on the ATX site.DUH! Okay I am so glad I efiled my last return this morning before all this started up again. By the way it was my tax return. Always the last one to finish. Had a few straglers today but will only file paper returns.

Had one Friday but they knew who claimed the dependent and filed paper because they were due the deduction.

Check the status from the my atx page. If has been sent, accepted,or rejected it will show there first. The person that I talked to last night had me to duplicate and resend some tax returns. I did and all is good to go except problems on the taxpayer......like same ss number already used.....declined because high risk on RAL.......Stuff like that. I will be through when 5 more people come and pick up their returns..............YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I stayed on hold for 30 mins or better to get a lame excuse that it was the volume that was causing th problem I was having with the efile not connecting to server. Next time I just let it set there before I got frustrated and it finally connected and believe it or not I got an ack back from an efile that I sent before lunch yesterday. I hope the others don't get lost in that black hole.

I have several returns efiled yesterday and nothing back on ack. I have one with bank product that we usually hear from pretty fast. Is anyone else having this problem? Maybe it is because I chewed ATX support out last night about having to change my blooming password and getting locked out of their home page.

I know you cannot file a non resident efiling. I believe the same thing for part yr residents It is the state of Alabama not ATX

I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel......somedays I think maybe it will be a train and hit me and get me out of this tax preparation business.......no it's the sun......less than a week........hang in there.

She is staying home with hubby this time, but we do have house rented in June that is dog friendly and she is going to make her first trip to the beach. We are so looking forward to it. That was the only way I could get my hubby to go and stay for a week, if we carried "meme". The kennel would have been cheaper. The condo we (my sister-in law and I) are staying at is not dog friendly. I think it is a shame not to be able to take her with us everywhere. I'm willing to pay for the extra cleanup of her beautiful fur balls that she leaves. Have a good day, booger.

I had a clients that got divorced last year and it states in their divorce decree that they were to file a joint return for the tax year of 07. Legal, Finalized Oct. 07. What are they thinking?

This is what some people in Tennessee say about I-65 coming out of Alabama.......That I-65N is the best thing to come out of Alabama. I don't fill that way but some people joke about it. I-65 for me straight to Orange Beach exit 39 I believe GULF SHORES PARKWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In two weeks.
