NT JUST PLAIN FUN

I wonder if there is some correlation between people who like to play with words and people who like to play with numbers. It seems like this tax board has an exceptionally high percentage of people like me who love puns and other fun with words. Maybe it just correlates with intelligence..... :P

I remember way back into my teens, I was always trying to create a pun out of anything. Also, my brother and I used to be very fluent at what (in those days) was talking in pig latin. I love words, I love reading and I love both crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Have my stash of both for "someday". I wonder how many others here are left handed.

Does having a left-handed son count? He is at least 20+ IQ points smarter than his Dad. I give him grief about it all the time. I exploit it all the time. Inside I am as proud as a peacock about it! He also is musical and artistic as well as being a programmer.

So, we haven't proved a thing. I am not the least bit musical, but have always wished I was. I am artistic as is my right handed son. KC, the brains of the bunch, is right handed. Alas! I think a lot of it has to do with what you do with the gifts you are given. I have always been determined not to let my left hand slow me down in any area of expertise that I wished to pursue.

For you puzzle junkies. Check out Conceptis puzzles for several types of logic puzzles:

http://www.conceptispuzzles.com/

They have one free puzzle of each type per week ("Play Online" tab). Instructions for each type of puzzle are on the "Get Started" tab. You have to create an account to play online but not to see the instructions.

If you need a daily fix (like me), several online newspapers can help you there. I've used New Jersey ( http://www.nj.com/puzzles-kingdom/index.ssf ) and the Oregonian ( http://www.oregonlive.com/puzzles-kingdom/index.ssf ).
