Naveen Mohan from New York Posted March 2, 2015 Report Share Posted March 2, 2015 I submitted a 2013 S corporation return for federal and New York by ATX Max. My federal got accepted but New York return got rejected by EFC and the error message says Year in Submission ID is incorrect '2014' should be '2015'. What are they talking about and how do I find this error. I looked at NY EFINFO page and date signed Ihave 03/01/2015. Where else should I look for this error? Cathy Posted March 2, 2015 Report Share Posted March 2, 2015 Naveen, Did a quick research. You should have a number assigned to your NY return as you do on the Federal return. Look on NY 8453. There is a long number at the top of the page. The 1st 6 numbers is your e-fin number. The next 4 numbers is the year the return is submitted for processing. In your case, it is a 2013 (or 2014 forgot which) return, BUT the processing year is 2015. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If yours number already lists 2015, then re-create and resubmit. Louisiana has had a couple of hiccups this year...,once I re-created and e/filed again, they were accepted. Sure enough, looked at all the info which was correct but the date on the transmission had 2014 n0t 2013, I closed out of the return, opened it up again and recreated e-file, and this time it had a correct date.
