  1. Just proves there are only 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary, and those who don't.

  2. A few thoughts: - Send out a mass mailer postcard. I think you can target zip codes that you are looking to attract from. While obviously there is a cost involved in that, it is very direct...assuming the recipient glances at it. - Post information about your services on Social Media sites. - Join local chamber of commerce or community groups. - Offer $xx new client discount. I offer a $25 new client discount and I also credit my current clients $25 when they refer new clients. - Sponsor a local sports team. In my area the name of the sponsor is placed prominently on the uniforms. These are just thoughts I threw out there. In some cases you will be spending some money for these ideas. Depends on what you're looking to do and how much you are willing to spend. Good luck!

  4. I have had this problem on several Windows 7 pro computers. I have fixed all but a laptop. I Googled until I came upon a fix from some website that worked on two desktops. I can't get the laptop to recover for anything. Fortunately, it only has some pictures, but they are important. I'm afraid to turn the darn thing on now long enough to back them up. My original update problem with my office computer was caused by the update to 10 that was not supposed to happen. After Microsoft took it back to Windows 7 for me, it would not update until I found the solution myself. They were no help with the endless circle up never finishing updating.

  7. To follow up with MDCPA. The number reported in all the official places, is the $300k figure. It does help support the local tax base. And yes, the realtor got an extra $4800 in commissions as well.... That is a pretty big discount however. One way to remember these deals is to do the opposite side. What if the seller came to you? What would you report as the net selling price? That will give you your approximate basis to the buyer. Rich

  8. Assuming when a property is listed that a real estate agent pulls comparable sales when determining the listing price, then paying closing costs, rather than reducing price helps maintain the real estate values in the area.
