I would recommend for them to go with a refurbished business laptop, that is what I always recommend to clients not wanting to spend much.

I have that problem with phantom unread posts after Judy has moved something to a more appropriate topic. Usually if I just go back to the menu and click the button beside the heading so that I mark all topics as read, I don't have the problem (until the next time I do.) YMMV.

Don't give me too much credit, I don't remember it either. I have 2 google bookmarks, the second is a search result that includes site:, so I can remember how to do it!

There are doing better on current payments, since I mailed my 3rd quarter estimate on Sept 12th and it was cashed on Sept 23rd.

Oh, maybe this week it's because I moved a topic to the Drake forum, or because every new member seems to revive a topic many years old. I thought that issued had been resolved a while back. Guess not.

The search feature on irs.gov doesn't like ANYONE. For some (like me), it's actively hostile; for others it's simply unhelpful.

I hear Oregon is a beautiful state. Lots of green. Except during wildfires! With a temperate climate that I would probably prefer. I do love CT, but it's expensive. And, Fairfield County is snobby. Now that 10,000 New Yorkers fled to our area during Covid, the attitude is even worse. And, hurricanes! I miss the friendliness of the Midwest. And, my sister and cousins in IL. The Art Institute. But, not the rioting. I remember Chicago during the Democratic Convention in the 1960s, I think. But, the mob mentality is so much worse now, everywhere. I also lived in CA for a decade. I found that all the friendly people I met there had come from the Midwest.

Interesting, I grew up on a farm about 90 miles SE of MSU and I don't miss the midwest at all. I definitely prefer Oregon.

I am not a big fan of QB online, but I wonder if a chromebook would run the online version and be a relatively cheap solution?
