  1. Oh man! MN LLC's are way different than that - SMLLC's only have taxes due like federal and no extra fees.

  2. And, a lot of high school kids listened to their friends and filed in the IRS portal for EIP3, which counts as a tax return. The kids get their free $1,400, but their parents' returns get rejected due to their dependent already filing a "return."

  4. SMLLC It can become a disadvantage in CA due to the way the annual LLC fees are calculated. The fee is $800 up to $250,000 net income; then another $900 if it goes above that; an additional $1600 over $500K.

  5. Not a payroll tax issue at all. Late-filed return penalty - but the return was filed late because the tax matters partner was incapacitated, his wife was fighting cancer, and the son running the business was taking care of them both and as a result doing almost no business. We sent in penalty abatement request that was rejected only because my POA had been signed by the TMP, who had died by the time the IRS read the letter, so the POA was no longer valid.

  6. About a month ago, I called trying to talk to a live person about a CP2000. I ended up in this new voice bot network ordering a tax transcript. Never was given the opportunity to talk to a live person. https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/irs-expands-voice-bot-options-for-faster-service-less-wait-time
