Any ideas on how to remedy it without going through customer support hell? I resynced with the EFC several times and this efile seems to be lost in the system somewhere. It was transmitted about the same time as the outage started. It shows transmitted on atx's side.

So i have a return at atx that still says transmitted to agency - transmitted at 4:00 pm yesterday pacific time. Should I be worried?

Any news on this? NO acks coming in still.

There are also a few valuable solutions to irritating problems if you search the knowledge base in the ATX site. I know this takes time but even if you remove one irritation a day it is helpful. Today I fixed my client mailing slips - I couldnt get my address to center so it wouldnt show up with the folders I have. A small improvement but still helpful for moral.

There is a wonderful course offered by Foothill community college Los Altos, CA in an online format for individual tax returns. I think it is Acctg 67, taught by Joe Mayer a CPA who now works for the IRS. The only problem may be that is also covers California State taxes which you may not care about. I highly recommend it. They also offer an intermediate level Acctg 68A,B and C which is aimed at helping those to prepare for the EA exam.

How about Share file? Super easy to use and setup . In think you need the professional version to get adequate encryption. I paid $134 for 3 months and have a portal. and encrypted email with a tool that does it all from Outlook. It took me a whole 5 minuts to set it up. Love it so far and clients like it too.

Joan - is that list serve open to anyone? I have an especially difficult return to do this year as one of my RDPs lived a portion of the year in an additional state that does not recongize their status.Became RDP's after moving mid year to California.

Thankfully all of my corrupted returns are back with 12.9. Such a relief.

Im having problems since dowloading 12.8. I know I downloaded it correctly. I cant open returns that have already been efiled without crashing - both accepted and rejects. ATX contacted me and asked for my error logs and the returns. I have had some problems prior but not horrible.

Cant open a return onced it has been rejected since 12.8 any ideas?

I have this too. I select direct deposit and get money clip errors. I dont do bank products. Im thinking I can just efile regardless of this error?

I have had this problem alot as well. It seems like once a return is corrupted - its corrupted. Seems quicker to delete the return and start from scratch. In problem returns I have also found that clicking on the error is a no no. I read the error on the error check and navigate to correct via the form but never via the error message - at least not on a return that is crashing.

Ha! Nevermind finally found a way to slide the window open (excel style)

Ever since 12.7 I am having problems with navigational tabs disappearing. Working on a 1065 and cant get the tabs in the left hand bottom to show up so I can go to page 2,3, ( I can see 4,5) Yesterday I had this on a simple 1040 making it impossible to fill out the EIC due diligence. Finally closed and opened the return 3 or 4 times a va la fixed. Any ideas?

Is there anybody else with increased crashing from 12.7? Starting to think I am stupid for not jumping ship!

Updated but still crashing when printing

I have read the post here about anti-virus but I dont dare disable mine. Using Microsoft Essentials and have had no problems until today. I cant find an ATX bulletin on the anti-virus issue.

Had a good weekend, very little problems - but today its crashing everytime I print. Especially bad with the ATX writer to pdf. Anyone else notice that?
