  1. super answers! ours is a basic tax return is $60 for 1 W-2 for fed and WI and it goes from there. Mostly charge by time, not forms. If you like you can drop them off and when they are complete we will make an apptmt to pick them up and go over them and you won't need to spend as much time.... or Can we make an apptmt for you? How about March... "If I don't get in today I'm going elsewhere,,,," well after today! Be my guest - Totally full cannot squeeze another apptmt in until March 5th!!! good problem to have!
  2. so client comes in 1/21 and we do return between him and girlfriend and new baby calls - picking up stuff as not filed yet.. my bad - we are swamped and I have not checked it yet. Wait - they haven't brought in rent certificates nor baby EIC proof even tho we called 4 days ago! ya but he says we didn't call right away.. and he still doesn't have it so he's picking it up.. I said it's done we just need the verification. No I'm taking it - for 3x the $$$ I have another appointment elsewhere (HRB probably) So I'm a nice guy and say this is what you should be getting and if they give you less, come on back. and it's early Feb - haven't had one of those in years! if ever? Always talked them into letting me just finish it up but can you believe it - still doesn't have records... silent screammmmm

good for you! I still have mixed feelings... slow to rollover, feecollect has not worked on one yet - may have to delete and start over, printing changes very irritating - not printing all I ask for, but way better than last year with too many pages, hate the OIH worksheet - but you are right on with the forum!
  4. so I have 2 returns with fee collect - 1 works fine - the add on came up for checking the box and the disclosures on the 1040ef, etc - yay! but the one I needed to file at midnight last night - I cannot get the fc to be recognized??? I have deleted, duplicated, etc.. Any ideas please? Thx D (xpost)
  5. can you believe it - about 10:30 pm cst? do they not know the date? silly people!
  6. up to the latest QB revised rules! , we even used medlin for payroll and entered into the QB instead of using the QB payroll... now we try and get them to switch unless they are really proficient rather than spend $$$ every other year.
  7. first time I laughed all day! thx

  11. I had serious issues with 2012 ATX - you have all heard them. somehow Jack and I emailed and he offered to come all the way up from Ohio to Northern WI to fine-tune my computers and the ATX program. We worked out payment - I paid for airflight - my husband hemmed and hawed and it went up $100 or so in the meantime! I had a voucher at the Holiday Inn from a benefit and the car rental was insignificant and I paid way too little for his help that day! My office manager and I learned a ton and he really cleaned up the system, etc. A great learning experience and I did not have to bring my IT in, brought in someone who knew ATX instead. If you have any issues - I highly recommend Jack. Even my husband came around as Jack's knowledge of computers as well as ATX is superb. Plus we had a great dinner and then he got to see the great Northwoods! God's Country
  12. OK JACK, my mouse is fine and the tax return works fine also... someone was having a bad day I guess! Thx
  13. so with these scan in and "neat desks" programs, after the taxpayer scans all his receipts in - does he still need to keep his original receipts or because they print out like they looked, now can the originals be thrown out for paperless bookkeeping and still satisfy an IRS/state audit? Thx
  14. are you sure you weren't in 2012? That is what happened to me today - oops - working on a 2012 return to email to bank! wait people - we are trying to prepare 2013's...
  15. ATX for taxes, 1099's, W-2's unless it doesn't live up to it's guarentees, QB for those who insist on it , Quicken for all new small businesses and any I can convert from QB to Quicken - who needs QB?, Medlin for payroll accounts. Drake I believe will be the back-up if needed - sure hope not!
  16. well Jack - I was serious! You are being silly and I am not impressed! I don't have a cordless mouse...and it works well everywhere else! another explanation?
  17. I have noticed when trying to access an asset say the vehicle to input miles and put the cursor there - it moves and opens something else up - irritating.. has done it on a number of Schedules.

  19. since we had so many problems last year with ATX, Jack offered to come up from Ohio to WI and fine tune my system. He did a superior job! Fixed many issues with the computers and ATX,,,If you need help - Jack is the person to call and come fix it. Thank you Jack for your time and help. and sorry your flight was delayed and you got to spend extra time in the great Northwoods...

  21. LLC formed and elected S corp status for 2012, hasn't filed yet. Now wants to be C corp due to many factors - main one making $600,000 in 2013 2012 year - 0 - for bottom line file as S corp for 2012? or just dissolve and file as C corp to start so the equipment etc does not have to transfer over.. I have done C's to S's but not the other way around. Please help so we can put it on the proper form and mail in. Thank you D
  22. Workers paid extra $8 per hour non-taxable per diem for traveling and also given an apartment for the week to build ships. One moved within 60 miles - close to worksite and wonders if the per diem of $8 is now taxable? Thx
