  1. yeah but this is for an 1120 due 3/15 and although i set it up to come out on the14th they took it on the 9th. This is just making me think to hold all efiles until the 14th of each month for everyone that owes.
  2. not self employed since s corp isn't subject to fica
  3. if i understand correctly, this will be posted to distributions in 2011. thus its "a short term loan" which if memory serves, can be interest free. the interest anyway should be a wash for an s corp since the corp gets a deduction and the individual gets the income.
  4. seems like feds and nys took the money early. i need to find out from atx what data got transfered with the efile
  5. IT WAS ON THE 1120 that they took the money early and you are wrong about writing cks without money in the account. If a return done in feb has them take the money out 3/14 then they don't hve to have the money there till 3/14 and not on 3/9. this is a real serious issue
  6. anyone having the problem where the gov't is takig the money early? client just called and said the irs took the money yesterday when it was set up for 3/14 and this caused him to bounce a bunch of checks
  7. fiscal year end 9/30 being done in the '09 program, can this still me efiled?
  8. a c corp with treasury stock converts to "S". what do i do with the treasury stock? do i but it on the B/S as an adjustment to capital? Just to make this more interesting, the treasury stock is greater than the total capital. Client did this 3/31 and just told me.
  9. yes you did and i missed it <s> but isn't it niced to be quoted within your own lifetime?
  10. INSTEAD OF REENTERING ALL ASSETS, RE-ROLLOVER AND IMPUT THE RETURN WOULD PROBABLY BE MUCH MUCH FASTER
  11. I WOULD FILE AND PAY THEM THE $25,
  12. DEPends on a lot of things such as did the wife own jointly with husband prior to death? if so there might be a step up depending on her estate and when she passed.
  13. There is one in the organizer that i modify but its pretty good as a basic template for tax work.
  14. THANKS, GOT IT, IT WAS A SNAP
  15. do i open them inside of the entity or as a new return?
  16. Never used program for this but client missed the paper file due date. Do i need to be add this to my efin registration? How do i set up in ATX, is this a done as a new client outside of their 1120? thanks for some guidence
  17. thanks, i am ok with 2010 loss the question is 2009, also, besided the carryback the issue is also if 2010 can be used to halt the collection of 2008 since the form talks about halting only the immediate prior year. If thats the case then the agent shouldn't even be asking for this form.
  18. the nol schedules don't address this, this is a very specific form. and the question is can you carryback a loss if you previously elected to forgo the carryback. I think i can amend the year to cancel the election but not sure.
  19. the agent isn't helpfull, and although i simplified it, there is more to the story, possibly RICO. The agent asked for the form to make it part of the audit but thats it. Also the form instructions say, you can only file it to halt an assessment for the immediately preceeding year so this shouldn't even apply yet she asked for it.
  20. i'll try to simplify this. 2009 nol was being carried to 2010 of $500,000. 2010 loss before nol of $1,000,000. client audited for 2008 and owes $3,000,000. Using form 1138 i can extend the assessment period of the irs due to an expected carryback. Now the issue is: what is my carryback? I know the $1,000,000 can be carried back but what about the $500,000 from 2009 which was previously elected to be carried to 2010. can that now be included in the carryback to 2008?
  21. not that funny - i think the phone was mine
  22. A MORE Important reason is that when you reprint, ATX puts the current date on the form, letters and invoices, even when the return is marked locked and not supposed to update. the only way to get an exact copy of what you sent them is to use a pdf
  23. if no change in career or not to upgrade from LPN to RN, or to go from BSN to Masters, then i would take them on "A", just like anyother continuing education.
  24. On the official site, they are blaming it on our firewalls and anti-virus stuff. So i guess we all got the same bug yesterday at the same time.
