  1. All local troops are also 501( c ) ( 3 )'s.
  2. I think you must leave the decision up to the client.
  3. Do you have to keep an eye on the depreciation and amortized points year to year or only when you converted from ATX.
  4. If you have income (int, div, soc sec), then those things are being reported to th IRS. Why not file a return to show the IRS there is no tax due instead of getting a notice years later when no one remembers what happened. Also, if you have a decedent final return and an estate return, if you file both you can reconcile the split of int and div between the two with what was reported on 1099's for the year.
  5. I go to print and change the printer to to one of the pdf choices and then close that screen without printing. Then when I right click and choose print current page it prints it to a pdf instead of my printer.
  6. While on the page you want to print go to "Returns" and next to last choice is "Print Current Page". You can also just right click on the page you want to print and the third choice from the bottom is "Print Current Page".
  7. I also liked the mini organizer. So like gljeanne I customized the organizer. And just like gljeanne it took hours and a visit to the chiropractor.
  8. If you put a space between the "(" and the "b" it will be "( b" instead of a smiley face.
  9. When you type a code section put a space between the "(" and the letter. So instead of 83( make it 83 ( b ).

You can also look over the list to see which forms have been updated. I always use manual download.
  11. Sounds like the way IRS does math to me.
  12. Missouri and Kansas always send 1099G also. That doesn't mean my clients always give them to me.
  13. I got the same email bcolleen got. The email had a link in it that took me to a page that had the price listed.
  14. I believe Booger said that kiddingly or with tounge in cheek.
  15. This is what I found regarding the price for next year. 19. If he was retired, his commissions should not have had se tax anyway. 1402(k) CODIFICATION OF TREATMENT OF CERTAIN TERMINATION PAYMENTS RECEIVED BY FORMER INSURANCE SALESMEN. —Nothing in subsection (a) shall be construed as including in the net earnings from self-employment of an individual any amount received during the taxable year from an insurance company on account of services performed by such individual as an insurance salesman for such company if — 1402(k)(1) such amount is received after termination of such individual's agreement to perform such services for such company
  20. I would have the daughter pay rent (even if parents had to gift her the money) and then take all expenses.
  21. I have a partnership that uses one of the partners homes as it's office. The partner wants to take as unreimbursed partner expenses the office in home. The partnersip has a loss. Can the partner increase that loss by taking office in home?
  22. Was the insurance salesman retired before he died?
  23. I think your original post already answered your question. It all depends on the hours.
