TAXMAN
Hey Guys how do I add emoticons to a message? I may blind as a box of rocks. Anyhow thanks
joanmcq
You do have to enable emoticons. But they seem to have disappeared. Damn, I've been getting a lot odd use out of head desk.
Gail in Virginia
They are still in the task bar at the top of the posting box for me. Just lucky I guess!
Eric
Yup, click the Smiley face icon on the top row in the editor. (It opens a little bar at the bottom of the editor for you to choose an emoticon)

Lion EA
For me, I have to hit the More Reply Options at the lower right corner of my Reply to this topic box. It then opens in a fuller Word-like editor that includes the emoticons. Well, it has the smiley face, but doesn't open to a list of emoticons that I can insert. Where did they go?! (And, yes, there's a check in the box for Enable emoticons.)
Gail in Virginia
When I click inside the box right above the More Reply Options and Post buttons, a "toolbar" comes up in the editor, and in the center of that is the emoticon smiley face. If I click that, I get a menu of emoticons to chose from.
kcjenkins
When you click on the Smiley icon, the smileys show up at the BOTTOM of the reply box. Maybe you just overlooked them?

You have to actually click the little button to show the toolbar?
Gail in Virginia
Sorry if I wasn't clear. I don't have to click anything but just start entering information in the box or click within the box, and I get a two line toolbar. Then if I click the smiley in the middle of the top row of the toolbar, I get a range of emoticons along the bottom of the box. Is that more clear? Bart
Yep! That's a relief, I thought something was wonky. Have never heard wonky. Must be a highly technical computer term.

Lion EA
Wonky is also used in the mental health field; although, sometimes computer problems cause mental health problems.

Sometimes computer programs cause mental health problems. Over the past two weeks, many people understand "Wonky".
