mcb39 Posted January 19 Report Posted January 19 This morning I installed the program onto my laptop as I said that I would. It went as smooth as apple pie and cheese. I now have three codes on my Google Authentication App. The third one clearly says "Laptop" without being told. Now for the dumb question. When you click copy on the setup authentication app, where does that copy go? Or, are you supposed to physically copy that code to paper? I didn't and I don't know where or what they are. Thanks guys. Where is Dennis when you need him? 1 Quote
jklcpa Posted January 19 Report Posted January 19 Probably puts it in the computer's clipboard for use in pasting somewhere else, as in copy and paste. 2 Quote

Abby Normal Posted January 20 Report Posted January 20 You can't copy and paste from your phone to your computer, because those are two separate devices. Just manually enter the code on your computer. 2 Quote

It is to be used in case you ever do not have access to your phone. 2 Quote
Pacun Posted January 20 Report Posted January 20 I saw that and I pasted it in a word document but I don't know when to use it. I guess it makes sense in case I don't have my phone. 4 Quote
Abby Normal Posted January 20 Report Posted January 20 Yes, you should paste it into a text document, and save it. 5 Quote
