  6. There are a few elements that are very faint, and almost invisible until you hover nearby.  Report Post shows up when you move your mouse over any part of a post.  Same for the little icon to share a post, or hide a signature.  Also, on the Topic List, the page numbers associated with a thread on the Topic List.  They don't really show up until you hover over a specific topic.   It's a design decision, I think.  There are a lot of features and interface elements, and giving them all the same visual weight leads to an overwhelming and cluttered UI.  Only showing some elements on hover helps to minimize that.

  8. Wow. I did not know that disability reported on a 1099R code 3 was considered earned income if the taxpayer is under regular retirement age. This board is great!

  10. Odd man out again. We have a Canon Image Runner (which is a stand alone machine) that functions as a scanner, printer, and copier. It is tied into the network so anyone can access it. It is the workhorse of the Canon family. We have had it for more years than I care to count - but we keep it maintained by the best Canon technician in a multi-county area and it just keeps on working. We do a ton of scanning, copying and printing on that machine. And from your topic title, I would simply mention that we have never achieved "paperless" status and we have been scanning everything we can since 2006. "Less paper", but not paper less.

  11. Yes, it has a neat appearance and it is also a neat concept. Mainly because it carries considerably less risk for the preparer and leaves the resppnsiblity where it poperly belongs. I have no responsiblity for filing - that's the client's job.
