I AM THANKFUL: For the wife who says it's hot dogs tonight. Because she is home with me, and not out with someone else. For the teenager who is complaining about doing dishes. Because it means she is at home, not on the streets. For the taxes I pay. Because it means I am employed. For the mess to clean after a party. Because it means I have been surrounded by friends. For the clothes that fit a little too snug. Because it means I have enough to eat. For my shadow that watches me work. Because it means I am out in the sunshine. For a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing. Because it means I have a home. For all the complaining I hear about the government. Because it means we have freedom of speech. For the parking spot I find at the far end of the parking lot. Because it means I am capable of walking and I have been blessed with transportation. For my huge heating bill. Because it means I am warm. For the lady behind me in church who sings off key. Because it means I can hear. For the pile of laundry and ironing. Because it means I have clothes to wear. For weariness and aching muscles at the end of the day. Because it means I have been capable of working hard. For the alarm that goes off in the early morning hours. Because it means I am alive. For my wife who always seems to nag at me. Because it means that someone cares about me. And finally, for too many e-mail messages, posts and messages on FaceBook. Because it means I have friends who are thinking of me.

Thankful for this forum, and everyone on it, where we get to "Talk Turkey" all year.

I was worried about this so I called ProSeries support to get the answer. I do have to provide EFIN verification to them before e-filing this year. They gave me detailed instruction on how to go about get the information I need. It comes down to going on to IRS e-servies and verifying information and then printing it out. Print out the EFIN Application Summary and submit it to ProSeries. They gave me the details on how to get it to them. I call the IRS at 1-866-255-0654 and they agreed that this has to be done this this year. The IRS agent helped me with the process.

Finally figured out how to put in the graphic about deer ...

I went to My ATX site and see my EFIN there. The only way I can see to upload my acceptance letter is to go to change my EFIN but I'm not changing anything so I do not believe this is required. I have my letter ready but I am going to wait till I send my first efile before I struggle with this. I still believe that if we are already established it is not needed. If it was I believe our EFIN number would not be showing on our info thus forcing it to be updated. I vaguely remember having to do this the first year I efiled way back in the day.
