I use Printmaster. Export addresses from ATX to .cvs file. Import to an addressbook in Printmaster. Total flexibility creating labels in Printmaster.

I found that rolling over the clients before it was time to actually do the returns to be counterproductive, and caused lots of issues. I don't do them in advance.

Sounds like Chicken Little to me. I have heard of at least 50+ other such warnings since the inception of IE. Call me skeptical.

I have Explorer 8 on all the XP machines. (9 of them) Explorer 9 on all WIN7 machines. (2 of them) Upgrade and keep current on updates. Should be no issues. "Problems" with Explorer 8 are typically user errors in set-up or poor internet protocol allowing trash to get into your system. In order for ATX 2012 to communicate through the internet for the functions that require internet, you must be at IE 8 or higher. The tech people at the seminar reinforced this. Besides, Microsoft has stopped supporting Explorer 7 many many moons ago. in 2012, keeping current and keeping updated is essential.

Combine what HV Ken and michaelmars do. No pay, no forms. For those you choose to have accounts, 2% late fee per month (and no abatements) will either motivate them to pay, or give you a very nice return on your investment when they do eventually pay. My Utility companies, grocery stores etc. do not tolerate such from me.

From the seminar... The developers are aware of this problem. The fix will be incorporated in the first major program update in january. Had this happen to me several times. It happened at the seminar and the head of development said she is expediting the fix for this.

There is a user manual on the installation CD. Check there.

Import all the payers into 2012 program, then clean. Greater sorting functionality it seems with 2012.

I believe that for 2012, you can sort the payers by EIN number. I have not messed with this function yet.

Next major update in January. If you possibly can, you should attend the seminar on Dec. 18 in Kennesaw. Well worth your time.

The prompt will continue to pop up. The idea being put forth by the developers is that they make you choose to use a different pdf creator because the developers are concerned about other pdf creation programs not accurately converting. I personally find that laughable. But there is no intention to make the pop-up go away.

I remember a question about securing the program with a password. That is definitely an ability. Actually, the security in this regard is much better.

I am here live. Learning lots of stuff. This seminar will be done again on Dec. 18, 2012 at the Omni Hotel here in Atlanta. I recommended that anyone that can attend SHOULD attend!! Absolutely a great investment. More as the day goes on.
