Called ATX and went thru their automated system. Both of those returns were accepted. Don't know when or why I did not get an ack for them, but accepted is good.

Anybody else having efiles sitting on transmited to efc for over a week?? I am going to have to call ATX on Monday.

After the thyroid operation, I was feeling just great. About 5 days after coming home I thought I twisted my knee. A knee that was replaced in 2007. No such luck. It was cancer from the thyroid eating at my bones and plastic implant. Off to Sloan Kettering in NYC for operation and a new knee. Now I am using a walker and hope to be off the walker in a couple of weeks. The doctor had to cut from under the knee to 3/4 way up the thigh. Oh well, I get up each morning and feel a little pain and say thank you God for the pain, the alternate is not an option. Good News, my daughter gave birth to a little girl on Monday, both daughter and granddaughter are doing fine. That makes 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. The tie will be broken the end of July with my son's wife, who is having a girl. Now if only I can get the info from the clients to finish their returns. Somethings just don't change. Have a great summer.

jasdim I have a person would does returns (simple 1040) and I e-file them.

I am still on the fence. Why should I have to bargain with them? Do they or don't they want my business? Give me the price, if it is close or good then I will stay with ATX. Yes I did tell them I was TRX, yes I did tell them I was a loyal customer since 1990's, yes I did explain the economics of the bottom line figure, and all I got was 10% discount. Never got any renewal calls from ATX. What really pis*&** me off, is I have 2 locations and need 2 tax programs. The locations are too far away for one license. It seems like double or nothing. I may call them again but I am not sure.

I feel like chopped liver. I called ATX they quoted me $1154 with 10% discount. Of course they are kidding. I told them I had ATX since the 1990's and last year I had ATX through TRX. This is the renewal cost. Jake, the saleman, told me to tell him what I could afford and he would take it to his manager if I gave him my credit card today. Sorry, Mama did not raise a dummy. Told him TRX is offering at $299 with business and unlimited e-file. I don't like to haggle give me your best price to start with. I was also thinking if I go with ATX how much more will the business portion be in the next years when businesses have to file 1099's (that includes me and you). Maybe I can learn a new program over the summer. TRX has free conversions and will help walk you through their program. Maribel is a nice salesperson at TRX. Got only 3 days to make a decision. How I hate to rush.

My surgery was sucessful. The doctors removed my enlarged thyroid. It was larger than a small football. They had to open the breastbone to do it. The stitches are sore but thankfully no pain. Once this heals I will will looking at the lung and the kidney to see what is going to happen. Thank you for all your prayers. I just love my extented family on this board. Barbara

Jack good to know your daughter is alright. This will take time for her to put it in her past. Try to find something to keep your daughter busy, you thankfully had taxes. Taxes may be a pain in the butt but it helps to keep your mind off of other things.

Done. just waiting for ACK's. A lot more extensions then last year. Also more new clients from referals then last year. Many, many new and different problems. Lots of hit the retirement accounts and have no tax withheld and have to explain why they have to pay tax. More sad stories from the client. Oh well it is time for me to rest and let the taxes sit until May (having surgery Wednesday). Thanks for all your help, advice, wit, humor, and prayers. This is a very nice extended family.

I got mine to be accepted by deleting company name and no efin. I don't have efin, I used a ptin. Just delete both name and efin.

Don't think you can e-file the amended return. I could be wrong brain is OTL for the whole tax season.

If it is a simple return I would do it paper and pencil and only send in $.66. Does the government need the $.66 or the extra $.34? Just me an my attitude today.

Found the form 8910. Did quite a lot of bunny hops but found it. The is had 'draft' across it. Okay delete and update. Got it and will check it tomorrow with a clear head.
