  1. This update did take an hour to load but it did fix 98% of the issues I had. For the first time since I downloaded this program,I think I can survive this ordeal. Yes,this program was not ready for prime time, but support has helped me through,so far. They have a way to go,and I hope they stay on top of it. Thanks Andy
  2. Has anyone created an Efile sucessfully? I still have many overrides but don't think that would prevent efiling,I hope.

    I still have a problem with my SS# being displayed in preparer info...not sure if that will display on printed form. Also Preparer ID will not display the entire #...It was working fine until last update. Thanks and Support has been very helpful in my endeavor to master this software..getting better! Sunday
  4. I had some of these early problems with loadind the CD and conversion,but Support was prompt and thorough. I was unhappy about learning a new program at the end of my career and yet the price is right for my diminishing clientèle. I remember going through these same "growing pains" many years ago with ATX. I believe TRX will try hard to make this tax season a success.Good luck to everyone in 2013. Sunday
  5. I renewed early based on false info.If taxworks is not available,I would like a refund. I will wait until i hear something definitive .I will return to Atx this year.
  6. I was getting paranoid too. I was having trouble getting tech help with a problem with the software. I was able to contact Sales and together we finally got Tech support to respond. They did a remote REPAIR and all is well now. I also asked about software for next year and they assured me the program will NOT change. At least not next year. Whatever change they had planned did not work out. I hope I can rely on that,since I plan on retiring soon and do not want to mess with a new program.
  7. My invoice seems to disappear! I have asked for assistance from support but no one answers. This has only begun to happen with my last two returns. They are both quite large but nothing else has disappeared. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks for any assistance Sunday
  8. Sorry I just rushed through the Question. No,I did not efile it . I prepared it,just in case we needed it. I want to delete the form from TRX. thank you
  9. I did figure out how to send the extension but not how to delete the form if not needed. I know it can't be hard . Thanks for any help Sunday
  10. It is taking a long time to get comfortable with TaxWorks but the more I do,the better I like it. Next year should be easier especially with conversion issues.
  11. My client wants to pay her taxes with a credit card but I don't see that as a filing option. How do we accomplish that in TRX? Thanks for your replies Sunday
  12. It's getting easier but I'm still hunting for things,like a list of Elections. Is there such a list? I'm using the list in ATX right now. Thanks for any help. Sunday
  13. Oh,I may have messed up but I'm not sure HOW! I received an ACK today but the refund shown was wrong. This was a return that was "on hold" because of Schedule A. It looks like the Schedule A was NOT sent. Is there a list showing what forms were sent with Efile? The 8879 is showing the correct refund as does the completed Return. I am confused and my client is questioning what was Efiled. I hope someone has an answer. Thanks Sunday

  15. Is there a search function for an individual form that I may be missing? It seems a waste of time to scroll through all the forms to input prices. Is there a "most used " list for 1040 forms? Thanks for any help.

    I see there are some TRX users and I want to ask any of them if there is a Forum available for them. I use both ATX and TRX.software. I have had no luck trying to contact TRX support by email concerning help with their software. I really don't want to bother Tech support but getting around new software is very slow without SOME help. Thank you for any assistance.

    I have purchased TaxWorks but I will continue to Donate to this board. Atx has been my software from their beginning but my practice is much smaller now.The knowledge here is priceless. I would miss the Board much more than the software

  20. I just ordered the 299.00 program and I think it was the right choice. Braeden was helpful and answered my questions and concerns. I,also use Medlin for W2s and I believe they have a separate Module for 1099 forms for around the same price. I will need to double check on that.
  21. Yes,I had trouble logging on also.I sent an email to ATX support and they sent a list of procedures for changing my internet options. It still did not work. I will not pursue it any further..just not that important.I was just curious to see if it was still there!
