Right now I have two corporate returns that needs the books done before attacking the tax return, one is a returning client and it takes me 4 to 6 hours to create the P&L and B&S, this year I realized charging $200 to $400 of extra work is not worth it for me.
-
Should shoebox client fee for organizing their books be higher then the preparation fee? I am noticing I make less money with them and they come in at the worst time, I would like to hear from other how they handle these clients and your aggravation fees?

Crappy paper clip, how about receiving a TP envolope with a smell between musty, mildew or cat urine?
-
I had a client that was convinced by a broker to refinance their home and to invest the money, they lost $30k like in seconds.
-
We all hate when this happens because we are not sales people, maybe we are not charging enough.

I have a dashcam in my car, maybe one day I'll upload a video and make you watch it for 30-45 minutes of my commute

NY only, IL part is covered.

TP moved from IL to NY on 09/01/2016, TP had very little income in NY and had withholdings, however she became a permanent resident effective 09/01/2016, which form would I need to fill out? TP lives in the 10018, and works in the 10017 zip code. Any help will be appreciated. MAS

Just curious on how much time other spend on getting to work/office? If I leave during morning rush hour it can take me between 30-45 minutes, getting home is worst, it can range from 30-75 minutes and I only live 9 miles away from work.

I had an attorney once recommend me a client for some tax consulting, and if I remember correctly the individual found a better house for a cheaper price and negotiated for the bank to take over the house and sell it, they were successful and the bank was going to forgive a chuck of money. Individual scenario did not fall under any of those categories I told the client and attorney and they agreed.

Will the bathroom remodeling increase the value of the vacation home? -
Our city and state is the capital of sales tax, hair salons only collect sales tax on products sold and used, home repair companies and handy man are supposed to charge sales tax to the end user for products that are bought at wholesale, for example an electrician buys a box of switches at wholesale (no sales tax paid), he is suppose to charge the customer the sales tax. No one does that, they rather buy the switches at retail, pay the sales tax and avoid having to prepare sales tax returns.

Do you have to register for fee collect? I have never used it before and would be interested for a few clients.

The script I posted comes from this video, I recommend you watch it: -
Arconis is the software to clone the drive.
-
I have one of those drives but the "free" software that comes with is limited therefore you need to spend more to get the full software. But other then that it makes a full backup of everything including installed software, you can pretty much take the drive to another computer and restore it and a a mirror copy.

Next time they call you back/email ask them to pick a time and method of payment for their appointment. -
TP restaurant entrance was block by a film production company and therefore gave him a payment for the inconvenience, TP received a 1099 with box 7 amount, he really didn't do any work for them, would you agree this should of been reported on box 3 or it should be reported on line 21? MAS

I would change business use to 1% until it's rent-able, no depreciation will be calculated, you might want to recommend to your client it might be better to sell the house "as-is" for cash to avoid home inspections and make a smooth transaction, then he pays any capital gains. MAS

He probably prefers the wife in jail then paying taxes.

If you can hold off on the update do so, this has to be a glitch.
