  1. mail the extension with a copy of the efile rejection notice.
  2. Bart, no k-1 import capability.
  3. I updated to 12.11 yesterday. As far as i can see, there is no improvement at all - none in speed. I have an XP, 4 gig, stand alone, and it still crashes; crashed at least twice today.
  4. claim for tentative refund on a corporate return
  5. The above was from my contact at ATX who is a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst. Back to manual key-in of k1 data. I was spoiled with the import feature. Lynn
  6. nontaxable transit pay - nontaxable fringe benefit ??? is my guess
  7. That option is supposed to be made 'live' with the next update, 12.11 due out by Saturday.
  8. There is a procedure to do what the ex IT'S agent advised. See form 3115, which has an automatic option for taking the depreciation.
  9. Child care credit goes to the one who claims the dependent, if that parent pays the costs. No dependent, no credit
  10. If it is a sleep away camp, no. If it a camp where they gofer the day and come ome every afternoon, and both parents work or one works and the other goes to school, then yes.
  11. Is this for ony networked units? Or also for stand alone ?
  12. He is not kidding about the bears and moose. He needs to be proficient in the safe handling of firearms. Alaska is beautiful. The summer is a great time to go. Congratulations........
  13. have learned that this feature has been turned off since there were performance issues when importing more than one column of data. The programmers are working on this and expect to have it included in the 12.11 update due out next Thursday. Lynn
  14. anyone have success with importing k-1 data? I am at 12.10, all forms are up to date. Tried to import 1120S data into a 1040 and that option is not 'live'. Thaks, Lynn
  15. Or instead of quoting a 'set' fee, give them a range, $xxx - $yyy, giving LOTS of latitude for the 'whatever's', or include the caveat that the fee is not set in stone, and will vary after you see the full details of their particular tax situation. Lynn
  16. ATX TV this morning says LA has 3000 outstanding efiles, awaiting processing and ack's and they are working on them. LA did not even start to process efiled returns until 2/15. Lynn
  17. Cathy, did you go,to the ATX support site to check the status of your client's LA returns? Perhaps they have been accepted and the ack needs to be rehung . Lynn
  18. Sorry Cathy, All of my LA efile shave been accepted, except the one transmitted today. Lynn
  19. So far, I've only been working on 1040's. Need to get cracking on the entities, and soon. But here's my issue. When the 1040 planner prints, the columns for 2016 and 2017 tax year print on a separate page. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a 'fix' or workaround? I posted on the official board, but am not holding my breath for a response on this minor issue. But you'd think they would have realized it would be such a paper waster, and either modify the font so it all fits on one page, or printed it in landscape instead of portrait. My vent for the day. Lynn Kenner, LA
  20. ATX blog says Wednesday now.
  21. I didn't post her full email as I didn't remember her last name, just the first name.
  22. I am in the process of transitioning to ultra tax for tax prep. Will continue to use ATX payroll and ATX Tax for sales taxes only, Since I will still use the program I plan to continue with the updates and periodically 'try' the tax module for any improvements during the year. If the program continues to improve so that it's functionality is similar to that of previous years then next year I will continue with ATX for all purposes. If it does not,,....,,, Lynn
  23. is there another guide you'd recommend besides Richard Hammar's? I always enjoy threads about specialty tax areas. LOTS to learn! Thanks
  24. Try [email protected] where xxx = her last name
  25. Chadlonetree, I too have been using Richard Hammer's Clergy Tax Guide. MMy clergy are Jewish; is there a tax guide specific to Jewish Clergy? thanks, Lynn
