Just substitute proseries and lacerate in place of ATX and my advice still stands.

Why don't you contact ATX and get them to change all that information. I know what has worked for me from day one, and the recommendations from the development team directly. Choose to follow the path you think is best. All technical and customer service personnel are not trained, or informed equally. This problem has existed since CCH bought ATX. That is why my connections to the developers has allowed me to have a smooth operation on all fronts.

The SSD will increase the operational speed of all programs and functions. Unless you IT guy is familiar with how ATX2013 installs and operates, I would wait till June. Using a HD copy program is rarely without issues.

My posts were not a reflection on anything you said or posted. I grow weary of people posting negative things about software that they are not even using. When people post those kind of things, they are only trying to stir up discontent. If FTM were a current ATX user, I would have nothing to say. He is NOT, so his flaming comments have no purpose other than to stir discontent. Rant over.

Messing with the auto backup locations has been a NO NO since the program release. There is a function to manually backup to an external drive. This is the ONLY method that will not cause trouble. People REFUSE to listen. DO NOT CHANGE THE DEFAULT BACKUP LOCATION IN THE ADMIN CONSOLE. PERIOD.

Keep living in the past and hoping for the 2011 program to come back. Not happening, no matter how much you cry and whine. You know not of what you speak.

It is probably a good thing you are not using ATX for 2013. All your hopes for it being a disaster would have been crushed.

Let them do their own for 2013. Be ready for them to come back for 2014 and then increase their fees. I have many of those. I term them "retread" clients. When they come back, they stay for life. Turbo-Tax, Tax-Act, Freefile and H&R Block are all very good sources of clients for me.

My Anniversary is Feb. 25. We were married BEFORE I decided to make taxes my main profession. Will be married 19 years in 18 more days! I do NO tax work that day at all.

I still say the return was marked as self-prepared. Another CLEAR violation of the Cir 230 rules. I have my doubts about the preparer.

Corporate CCH has changed VERY LITTLE in their attitude toward customers. Nuff said.

Just keep clicking retry. Set the power settings on all your machines so that the computer never goes to sleep. Then in advanced settings, set the Hard drive to never shut off. No reason to get into control panel or services. It is a communication issue due to one or the other machines "sleeping."

Some of the Ohio forms will duplex, others will not. I solved this issue by making a second installation of my printer, naming it "Duplex" then setting the properties to print duplex. It shows in my printer list and I choose it to duplex print. I have used this method since I got the Brother all in one machine I use. 3rd tax season this year. Problem solved.
