Are you kidding??

ATX is EFC.
-
What does it say when 26 forms were updated 4-15 and 18 forms updated so far 4-16??
-
The return will be tagged with a timestamp of when you transmitted it to ATX. When it is sent to the IRS is not the timestamp that is important.

Ohio uses medical deductions above the floor limit to reduce Ohio taxable income. I always input the medical on Sch A and print it as well. Folks with lots of medical, but not enough to itemize benefit greatly.

and why can't we get a few acknowledgements?

For the last two days, if there are taxes owed on the state, I release them and send them. Especially today. I don't expect acks before Wed. -
I have 2 dozen personal clients just like that, and at the firm probably 200+. They don't even mind the charge for the form!!

Don't hold your breath!!!

No limit. We type a list of names and sent the Certified Return Receipt Requested and include the list. We got burned by not having delivery confirmation. The list provides the proof that it was delivered by checking others in the list if the issue arises. We are sending hundreds in each envelope.

My brain is mush.... Is there a caveat that prevents sect 179 of equipment on a 4835 farm operation? Big profit, so that is not the issue. It is rolling it forward and not allowing it for this year. any help??

13 to finish. 12 of them are 90% complete. One new client, farmer, 63 lines of depreciation. 17, including my own on extension. Increased my client base from 154 to 229 this season. It has been a season like no other. Were it not for the ATX software problems, this would have been a wonderful year for me. Revenues are also up due to the increase in clients. I will make it by Monday at noon. At the firm, over 400 extesnsions... Software problems 25 times as bad there as I have experienced here at home. All of the "guaranteed by the 15th" returns are complete. Still lots to do!!!

49.6 hours... But who's counting???

This tax year.... Mailed a completed return to a couple 30 miles away. 7 year clients. Mailed the return on March 25. Heard on Sat. morning Mar 30 that he had suddenly passed away on Fri evening, Mar. 29. He was only 60. Envelope with 8879 and my check arrived on April 2 with his signature dated Mar. 29. Still get chills when I think about it....

I give a $50 discount to all military. Current active or previous. My small way of giving back.
-
Active duty deployed military have 6 months AFTER they come home to file their return. A note at the top of the 1040 is all that is needed. No need for extensions.

Long time old HOAX! If it were truly from the IRS, wouldn't they know your name? Common Sense and logic here!!!

I have a fix for the ack problem, but you probably won't like it. How many clients do you have in the program? Standalone or network? -

My reply: Hello Brandon, You have a lot of nerve, or you are in fear of your job for sending out such an e-mail. Nice Try!! 12.13 created a HUGE problem with e-file acks that did not exist before. Program still crashes without reason or warning. The individual data file on each workstation must be deleted each morning so that the program picks up all returns, and returns rolled over from other workstations. I am an experienced computer technician and tax accountant. I have had “technical support” logged into my system 5 times this year. I have spent 15 hours talking to them. Problems still exist. The program is TOTALLY unfriendly to WIN XP in a domain server environment. It is TOTALLY unfriendly to a domain server environment. You have a lot of nerve, or you are in fear of your job for sending out such an e-mail. Please spread your male bovine scat about ATX2012 to some low information people who do not know the real truth. Be assured, I will not be calling your tech support next tax season. ATX2012 has cost the firm I work at thousands of dollars this year, and the negative effects of not being able to take care of our clients in a timely manner will hurt us for at least the next 2 years. We would demand a refund, but as I understand the “contract”, we would deduct $20 per return filed. Well, we passed 100 clients by the middle of February. If you are TRULY an account management specialist, you will get CCH to compensate us in some manner. (not holding my breath) I work for a firm that has used ATX since 2002. In the last 5 years, I have called tech support only once each year. I learned the program from the inside and handled 99.99% of problems on my own. We have 3,000 clients, and the damage to our business has not been measured yet. I also use ATX at my home business since 2004. NICE TRY!! Feel free to pass this to whomever will listen. If things go the same as the last 10 weeks, there will be no one that listens, nor anyone who cares. I will be forwarding this to the account representative for the firm as well. Subject: Hearing Good Results On ATX 12.13 Update. Since its release on 04/04/13, our feedback has been very positive with regard to the recent 12.13 ATX Program update. Functionality and speed have both been improved based on what we are hearing. If you haven’t done so recently, please take a moment to verify the program version you’re running. To find out what update version you are running, please do the following: -Inside your 2012 ATX program, click “Support” on the top toolbar. -Click “About”. -The version should be listed on the appearing information box. -If you are running a version less than 12.13, then you need to update your program, via the www.myatx.com support site. If you need help from me, in doing this, please reply back or call me directly. I will be happy to help you. Thank you, Brandon G. Why bring facts and logic into a discussion about a very politicised issue? I love your sense of common!! -
Her director told her that if she didn't make a profit of over $1,000 she didn't have to file. We have several Mary Kay clients, and that seems to be the latest tax law change as spoken by upper level Mary Kay directors.

Where is the proof that man has had ANYTHING to do with the earth warming. The last Ice age was thousands of years ago, long before the industrial revolution, and the earth has been warming ever since. The earth's climate has changed many times in recorded history, but any thinking that man has caused it is pure speculation and hyperbole. -
The e-file database referred to is the SS database. Verify DOD from the death certifiicate. If problem persists, paper file is the only fix.

All based on conjecture and not on hard evidence.
