  1. The reason I asked about that version is because I am getting rejects because I don't have it, yet my updating says I am current and have all the versions that have come out. For what it is worth, I am also not able to make a .pdf file out of the Comparison yet can make one of the entire return (same client). Hmmm. Since I am in the "complaining" mood this morning, why do all the columns in my Return Manager keep moving? I get them set like I want them and then after I have opened a couple of returns, they are all missed up again
  2. It this new version 13.2.1500.9 by any chance?
  3. The Tax Book message board had the same question and the answer there was to include in the 2014 ES computation and the Kaiser had a good calculator.
  4. I got one for my wife when her netbook and laptop turned to toast. Have only had it a short time and it has windows 8.1 and still getting used to that. With the keyboard you can use either touch screen or the keyboard and that makes it nice. I have loaded a couple of programs on it and the work no problem. Wireless is easy. Loaded our printer drivers on it and works great. So far so good. I won't be able to use it much (after all it is hers, right) until after tax season. Fits in her carry bag she uses great. Light weight. No, I am not getting a commission on this.
  5. Take a look at the ASUS T-100. You can load any windows program on it that you choose. Comes with a detachable keyboard. I believe CNET has a review on it. About $400.
  6. It doesn't happen to be a NR/PY return does it?
  7. I tried both of those mcb39. Thanks for the idea.
  8. Everything is update. It is interesting. I decided to try it on a return that has never had a Sch C and I then had the option of selecting the Fixed Asset worksheet. Hmmm.
  9. When I click on the green arrow in the depreciation box of the Sch C it just moves me to the Vehicle Expense worksheet of the Schedule C.
  10. How do you get the fixed asset worksheet to come up. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the 2106 and 4562 to no avail. This is on a rollover return.
  11. He has been a help to me as well and I too, truly appreciated it.
  12. Hmmm. It would be considered the pastors income and subject to SE tax, yes. It would not be subject to withholding unless the pastor requests it. That's how I remember it.
  13. I would be interest in your spreadsheet. [email protected] Currently, I use the status column to track the return. Since all my practice is internet based, if I need info I sent an e-mail to the client and keep a copy on my computer in their file. I notate in the status column 140119 AI - for additional info required. Once a week I will review this column and send out a follow-up if I have not receive the info. If I need to know what I need I simply pull up the copu of the e-mail.
  14. It is too early in the season for brain freeze, but it is here. I seem to remember reading that beginning in 2014 that if an employer reimburses your for medical insurance premiums that it is now taxable income. I remember it as an ACA change. I am unable to locate what I read. Can anybody set me straight, a link or whatever...or am I alll wet.

    CA Help

My son lives in CA (Sacramento Area) and seems to have some IRS issues that are morphing out of control. My suggestiions/help in the area, either, are not working or being implemented. It is a 2011 issue. Does anybody know a good preparer/attorney for him to contact that can take care of this. You may e-mail me at [email protected] or pm me. Thanks for the help.
  17. I don't like it....but then I have only tried it for a couple of weeks after years of usiing it on the top (even though the side option has been around for two years or more, if I remember correctly).
  18. I agree. Maybe she will be like jainen and return and continue to give us the benefit they afford this message board.
  19. Sounds like a great plan!! Go get'em!
  20. Excel and Word files can be password protected. I am not sure that s relevant anyway, because as long as the info provided is identified the tax organizier purpose is fulfilled. If any info is not provided you simply ask for it.
  21. Sinply make it a downloadable document on your website. You can make it a Word doc, an Excel doc or even a fillable pdf.
