I would amend this. For everyone reading this, also keep in mind that plenty of states don't recognize superceded returns so that a consideration.

If he paid independent contractors for services or labor, then he should send Forms 1099-NEC on a calendar-year basis. (Other qualifiers, such as non-corporation, over $600, etc., still apply.)
At the bottom of the pop up where you enter the authentication code, and yes it does nullify the reason to have it. My guess is that the support calls about it were overwhelming the support team, so they said, screw it, and caved.

And voila'! The icon was in the recycle bin, from which I was able to restore it to the desktop.

I wouldn't think they would change it. Other software vendors let you decide what security you want to use. Proseries does and Drake. Its up to the preparer to meet IRS requirements.
Superseding returns must be filed before the due date (including extensions).

If the original return and amendment were efiled, I believe you can efile up to 3 amendments total.
When I turned on my computer this morning the ATX 2024 icon had disappeared from the desktop. I can find the program with a search, but haven't figured out how to re-add the icon to the desktop. Options are pin to start or pin to taskbar. Anyone have any ideas? I've searched the communities here and didn't see anything on topic. Thanks,
