Christian Posted October 7, 2018 Report Posted October 7, 2018 As the proposed new 1040 is reportedly smaller than the usual photocopy sheet I am wondering if it will not look a bit odd to our clients. Any thoughts on this? Quote
Abby Normal Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 I keep hoping ATX will let us print both half pages on one page instead of having giant white spaces on two pages. And the Schedules should print contiguously. 2 Quote
Lee B Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 It will never be approved, won't fit on a postcard ! Quote
Christian Posted October 8, 2018 Author Report Posted October 8, 2018 That was my thought as well Abby. Perhaps the form will still fit the 81/2 x 11 page even though it has fewer lines. I can only imagine the effect that a page with a huge white gap followed by another with a big gap would have on clients. Quote
Lee B Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 Perhaps we can print on perforated paper and remove the blank portion at the bottom ! Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 Perhaps we can print it on toilet paper, and we all know what to do with that..... 1 4 Quote

The bottom half could be a coupon for 10% off for referring a new client. Or a free pizza. 2 2 Quote
JohnH Posted October 8, 2018 Report Posted October 8, 2018 The bottom half could be a voter registration card, with instructions. 5 1 Quote
Richcpaman Posted October 9, 2018 Report Posted October 9, 2018 I don't ever print 1040-EZ, why would I ever print the "postcard"? 1 Quote

Although I must add that any adult who is so ill-informed that they need to be reminded/encouraged to register probably should not be voting anyhow. (Oh, the irony) 1 Quote
Jack from Ohio Posted October 9, 2018 Report Posted October 9, 2018 "Informed Voter" has become an oxymoron. 2 Quote
B. Jani Posted October 9, 2018 Report Posted October 9, 2018 I told my client that my fees are going up next year due to postcard tax return. Client asked why because now I have to print more pages cost more toner to my printer. 1 1 Quote

Lion EA Posted October 10, 2018 Report Posted October 10, 2018 I vote for NO incumbents! With the possible exception of someone local who I know did a really good job. State and federal, we need new blood badly. 1 Quote
Randall Posted October 10, 2018 Report Posted October 10, 2018 The problem with voting the rascals out, is we just get new rascals. Â Quote
Gail in Virginia Posted October 10, 2018 Report Posted October 10, 2018 But it takes the new rascals a little time to catch on to how to be a REAL rascal. They start out as amateur rascals usually. 1 Quote
JohnH Posted October 10, 2018 Report Posted October 10, 2018 We had a politician over for dinner. The more loudly he proclaimed his honesty, the faster we counted our silverware. 2 Quote
