Does Staples offer large format printing? I want to hang this on the wall for all our clients to see.

Are there ATX Shortcuts not Listed?
Abby Normal replied to Matthew in the PNW's topic in General Chat
One secret code I just learned this year is F9 to recalculate. A next form code would be great. I often use Ctrl+o to bring up a list of open forms to move between forms. It's especially useful to jump to 1040 (or first form) or fixed assets because Ctrl+o followed by up arrow and enter takes you to fixed assets, and Ctrl+o, enter takes you the first form. Having a mouse with forward/back buttons on the side works for forward and back in ATX. I use Alt+p to bring up the list of pages in a form. Hitting up arrow takes you to the last page, just like in the Ctrl+o list. I call this the mobius strip feature. The user manual has most of the shortcuts. One of the main selling points for me in ATX the ability to move quickly among the hundreds of pages in a tax return. This is my list of ATX shortcuts on a stiky note on my screen: ATX Shortcuts (Ctrl+) E Error check F Add forms I Itemized List O Open forms List P Print R Restore field S Save T Add note Z Undo (Alt+) P Pages of form E,E Create efile R,R Print page F3 Form Instructions F9 Recalculate -
ATX sells an add-on for this called PaperlessPlus, but I've always been happy scanning/printing PDFs to client folders, since 2003.

Fax wasn't working for me with the IRS for several years. An agent admitted that it was spotty at best. If you're on eservices, you can get transcripts instantly without calling. When they're larger transcripts, they do send it to your mailbox, but it shows up in less than a minute. Never understood why they had to do that.

You can get IRS transcripts quite a ways back. I recently downloaded 2009-2017 for a self-preparer who hadn't been carrying forward his NOL. Still waiting for the IRS to get around to processing this. It's been over 6 months.

I have a website - please let me know what you think

My screen. 2/3 of the screen is a pretty picture that doesn't really help me as a user. I do have a strong dislike for scrolling. -
Fastest way to get to the bottom of the page? Shift+Tab.

I find the very large header picture annoying. I have to scroll down on every page to see anything. Perhaps doing it as a background wash if you have that capability. -
Wouldn't these gifts be clawed back into the estate?

Well... under the new laws the HELOC would not be deductible on Sch A as mortgage interest, so having the corp deduct it and the shareholder show it as income on Sch B results in no deduction at all. You could argue for investment interest and deduct it there? I've seen some put on Sch E page 2 as business interest, but I'm not sure that's right either.

Great! I didn't even think to check for that. Such a simple thing that a lot of missed a great deal.

I do like the larger print on the SR.

Nature abhors a vacuum, so that white space that still remains on the now 2/3 full page, will one day be filled up again.

The IRS treats each year separately, and they're underfunded and understaffed right now. The shutdown plus the new tax law with a 1040 redesign, have put them in a serious bind.

New ATX System Requirements don't mention Windows 7

I'd do a fresh install. It will run better. -
Probably not. Most of my freelancers 1099s add up to less than sales anyway. I trash all the 1099s my clients send me too.

Changes to Sch D Tax Worksheet released 5/15/19

ATX finally updated. -
1040X with corrected SE form and an adequate description in the explanation box should do it. Not sure what you want to stamp 'Do not file' on. Taxpayer's should check their SS earnings in about a year, because I doubt the 1040X will be updated over to SSA.

Max was so mad he couldn't type straight!

Nothing can be 100% relied on. My son sent me 3 texts on Father's day but I only received one of them.

Let us know if you find something like that. Thanks! A quick search found this: https://try.clicksend.com/us/email-to-sms/

Correct.

I have one LLC taxed as a C corp that's 100% owned by a foreign corporation. On the 8832 we entered "none" for ID number of owner. On the 1120 we leave the ID# blank on the Sch G and have never had a problem.
