Self-Employed Health Insurance Deduction & Premium Tax Credit (Pub 974)
Abby Normal replied to G2R's topic in ACA
But it's not a solvable problem in the catch-22 situations. -
The instructions make it sound like you don't have to complete the withdrawal, before you file the return. The IRS can waive part or all of this tax if you can show that any shortfall in the amount of distributions was due to reasonable error and you are taking reasonable steps to remedy the shortfall. If you believe you qualify for this relief, attach a statement of explanation and file Form 5329

Yes, that's how I do it. 2 or 3 times, I've had the catch-22 where deducting SEHI qualifies you for a PTC, but then the PTC lowers the SEHI so much that it disqualifies you for the PTC. I just split the difference and call it a day. Never gotten any IRS notices over this. -
They have to establish a state "residence" by where they vote, drivers licenses, where they get their mail, where vehicles, including the boat, are registered.

Here's the offline Chrome installer. See if you can download this: https://send.firefox.com/download/e731737ffa5bd340/#gSRvIgTzunmD0XzaoDJx-A Link expires after 7 days.

I've heard that Microsoft was making it hard to download Chrome and other browsers. Can you download the installer on another computer, put it on a flash drive and install it that way? 10Mbs a huge upgrade? We should be ashamed that we haven't wired the whole country by now with high speed internet. It's as important as electricity for a business.

Is this a 1041 or a 706?

None of my Win 8.1 or win 7 machines show that. Are you on 10? Below image shows 104 used of 237 total. I have to subtract to know the used amount.

You gotta love those customer service reps.....

I left BoA after the banks blew up the economy in 2008 (have you seen The Big Short?), and have been with a credit union ever since. Could not be happier with interest rates, customer service and their websites. -
Are you sure you're reading the screen right? The windows screen shows the FREE GB, not the used GB. You have to subtract from total drive size to see the used GB.

My understanding was it's a complete rewrite based on a different platform.

I've had some sites stop working in FF but start working again in later versions.

Microsoft is abandoning the original Edge and replacing it with a new browser based on Chrome. https://www.microsoftedgeinsider.com/en-us/?form=M300SF&OCID=M300SF

I wouldn't worry about this for a nonprofit. I also would not report monthly for a nonprofit. Every nonprofit in my town that I became treasurer for (including my Quaker meeting), I switched from monthly to quarterly, because nonprofits have so much variability from month to month, it was meaningless and confusing to review monthly. It was a waste of the everyone's time to do monthly financials, and left people more confused than informed.

Blocked downloads are usually the fault of security software. Either pause or disable security to download. I recommend uninstalling McAfee. It and Norton are both notorious for causing problems and slow performance. I use Firefox primarily, Chrome for persnickety sites and IE for US government sites.

We've all likely experienced this and there is no resolution. A green circle is as good as a green dot.

Look in the efile manager and see what you transmitted for this client.

If I bought a used computer, the first thing I'd do is put in a new SSD and install whichever OS I wanted.

We're switching to AMD processors due to the constant stream of articles exposing security flaws in Intel chips.

The latest video from Wolters Kluwer uses the backup/restore feature, but it's cumbersome to select all of your clients. There's no 'select all' feature, so you have go to every page and click the checkbox in the header to select all returns on that page. Also, you have to browse to a new backup location to even get all of your clients to show.

You'll want to properly move your ATX data to the new computer. Do NOT just export/import to the new computer or you'll lose all your preferences and customizations. CAVEAT: THE 2018 PROGRAM DATA FOLDER CHANGED TO WOLTERS KLUWER.

Most of the time, you can't create the efile because the attachment is required.

There are numerous free PDF optimization options, but most of them are online and you shouldn't upload a PDF with a Social Security number on it. https://www.google.com/search?q=free+optimize+pdf Edit: Here's some offline optimizers: https://www.google.com/search?&q=free+optimize+pdf+local
