The new bank should be able to handle it as long as he is making the request correctly and supplying them with the source.

Don't be so sure about coming out smelling like a rose. TRX called me AGAIN this morning and asked how I liked the demo that they never sent me. I was polite to the caller because she got very flustered when I said that I had never gotten a demo. She is sending one now and I will take a look at it just to see what all the hoopla is about. I do not agree that we are the ones who hurt TRX. They came on this board and shouted to the world that they were offering ATX at a greatly reduced price. I think we all believe in free enterprise and competition. However, TRX "bit the hand that fed them" and that same hand retailated. It IS nice to know that there are other choices out there in case CCH decides to make ATX inaccessible. But, for now, I am extremely comfortable with the ATX software and will continue to use it as long as it is available and I can afford it.
-
Thanks Wayne.....I now have all of my Organizers created and ready to print.
-
There is very little that I don't like about ATX and a whole lot that I do like. For the price, Max does everything that I need it to do and then some. I have no problem with it being owned by CCH; as long as they keep it available. If ATX is out there, I will never change, and if it disappears, I may have to retire and disappear too.
-
I am getting the same thing; almost daily. Even though I told them that I had renewed with ATX, they are still trying to convince me that they have a better product. I am SO glad that I did not get on that particular bandwagon.

There was a lot of posting regarding QDRO on this board last spring when I was going through a very messy deal with a client. Doing a Search for QDRO might give Edward some answers. For those of you who remember my case, you might be interested to know that ex-husband is still sitting in County Jail awaiting trial. This will be two years in April. My client finally got her divorce in Feb which was just over one year after the husband's arrest and her filing for divorce. Because they were court ordered to file MFJ, we did pay the tax, but not the penalty. We are quite sure that her attorney may have messed this one up.

Great to hear that all is well with you and your home and roses. (We had our first killing frost last night and graden is shot). Roses are tough and still blooming, though. As of today, I have canned 96 quarts of snappy tomato juice. Same country, different location.
-
And I know that I have missed many of them. It is canning season in the Northwoods. Tomatoes are ripe, finally! to all September friends that I have missed. Also, busy getting ready for wedding of first Granddaughter last Saturday. Something pretty special about that!
-
Yeah, Jainen.....have a good one!
-
I still use Quicken v6 also.; which is my only concession to Intuit. I use it for a lot of bookkeeping for several clients. If they have payroll, I use Medlin with ATX. I have always thought that in most cases Quickbooks is overkill and the need to update every year is rediculous and expensive IMO.
-
They have been calling and leaving long, detailed messages at least once a week; even after I told them I was not interested.

Karen...I just watched the video and it just gave me chills. Particularly, since my Granddaughter is being married tomorrow. Thank God that Michelle is doing well. How is Grandma doing?

and flowers, and gift cards, and food..........and cash!

MY annoying phone calls and letters have all been from HRB and TRX. The only thing I get from ATX (CCH) is e-mails. Tom, does it do you any good to get that frustrated? Why not just ignore.
-
That made me decide that I would rather go and prepare dinner than work with the public any more today. Thanks for sharing, Joel. Seems that some people have too much time on their hands. I have several clients named Mark. I hope your caller was none of them.
-
Rates here in Central WI are more in line with the ones from Joel's sheet. According to your rates, my Husband's Partnership, alone, owes me about $14,000 in back payment. (Good Luck with That!) There seems to be much varity according to the locale, distressed economy, etc. This is a very interesting thread.

In the past several days, there have been so many Birthdays. Way too many to address individually (unless you are Taxbilly). So to everyone who is celebrating in September.
-
KC.....I never knew about that form until today. Thanks for the info. I am not trying to increase my client base at this time, but I am sure than many others on this board are. How many other "goodies" are out there that some of us are missing? Never too old to learn something new.
-
Good for you, Sam. We love happy people on this board.; especially if we helped to get them there.

Plus, don't forget the standard allowed daily meal allowance of ($52)?? per day for OTR Truckers. I know this is not included in mileage, but it is another BIG deduction along with Fuel, Repairs, etc. Mileage would never even come close to the expenses that most of these Owner/Operators have; even if it was allowed.
-
I will never forget 9/11 or where I was and what I was doing. That was the day that I quit smoking because I still had choices and those people did not. Since that day, I have NOT smoked 52083 cigarettes and have saved $7,813 at the prices at that time. I am sure that those of us who were adults on that tragic day will NEVER forget.

Have a wonderful Birthday and a great trip. Forget about the taxes. I just got back today from a two week hiatus and feel SO refreshed if a but overwhelmed by the mail and 16 messages that I had to answer. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to all....it's a big off-road racing week here in Northern Wisconsin. Which means that our house is full of family and we are going through a lot of food. But, that is a GOOD thing. Whatever you are doing, enjoy this final Summer Holiday!

I'm with you, KC.....I like Nelco about as much as I like Intuit. (NOT) I do like the prices and service at Tenenz, however.

I use the "All Purpose" cover on Page 18. I make a cover sheet which has my information printed on the page so that it shows in the cut out window. I put a label for the client on the front of the cover right below the double line (labels are so easy to print through ATX). I then put a double sided "Year" sticker on the staple edge. Never have a problem with staples no matter how thick the return is. I staple their W2's, 1099's, etc to the inside of the back cover. So many of my clients consider it to be very professional looking and have had so many pleased comments that I would not consider changing. It doesn't cost that much and I can take pride in the copy of my work that I present to them. (To clarify, my cover sheet is only created once and saved to a disk. Then when I am running short, I can quickly print 30 or so more quickly. This also allows me to edit quickly if I should need to. I generally print my cover sheet on 25# paper and the rest of the return on 20#. I know that a lot of you consider this overkill, but I just cringe when someone comes in with their copy from HRB and I think how much more they paid for what they got. Thanks to whoever brought this up as it is time to order for the coming year to get the early order and online discounts.
