The print function is fixed & has been. I don't know what you have your settings at, but if you turn off your print packets, the print manager works pretty much like it always has. I always use print preview first and make sure just what I want is there.

I can see where it's AGI, in the sense that itemized deductions don't necessarily correspond with ability to pay, and the standard deduction certainly doesn't. The 433 allows certain living expenses, and charitable contributions and car taxes aren't one of them.

I've done this too. The IRS will even recommend it (the 120 day pay), rather than doing an installment. Interest & penalty on $800 for a month or so will be minimal.

It was pure luxury. I don't set an alarm, and just assumed I'd get up before 2pm. Wrong!

I did that at the beginning of the season!

I've got an NJ part year resident. So I prepare both the resident and nonresident returns, and efile both. The resident came back rejected because "NJ individual efile is already accepted or pending acceptance. We have discarded the efile....if you are certain we do not already have the efile please contact customer service" NJ has this whacked two return requirement. WTF? Can only one be efiled?

To your tax program or the ATX website?

The 1099-S is usually included with the sale docs, not mailed later, at least in CA. I always ask for the HUD statement in a purchase, sale, or refi. Reporting is easier than dealing with a notice later.

Yup, I've had those too. Sometimes the checks are already stale.

I got woke up today by the dog barking because clients are at the door. They didn't mind I was in jammie pants and the shirt I was wearing yesterday. I did get 8 hours of sleep though! I'm about out of bras. Only the sports bras got washed in the last laundry run. Guess it's time to throw in another load.

Yes, she did fill out the form. It wasn't much over 10k, but she's the type to worry. Now I'd worry if I lived in a country where you're ordered to evacuate due to armed rebels taking over the Capitol, but to each their own!

Can it really be true???? 12.13 an answer to prayers?

I save all the time. It's habit. Finish a form, hit save. I hope the data entry hiccup that would happen when auto save kicks in is gone. I've found two errors that I didn't notice while typing; one on a 982 while I was going over the return with the client. Ya think the difference between $28684 of excluded debt and $4 would cause a notice? I've noticed how fast it is moving between managers. Blink and your in efile manager. -
Yup, I have a client that was sweating this. She works in a developing nation and keeps part of her pay as cash in a safe. She was coming back to the US for vacation and had an idea something might happen, and brought back all her cash. Good thing since her office was evacuated while she was gone. But not only did she deposit more than 10k, she also entered the country with more than 10k. I have no idea what the treasury does with this info if your not a drug dealer or other criminal type.

I pull stuff out of the dryer to wear. Eventually what's remaining gets put away. I met my clients in socks but no shoes today. Still only wearing socks....

Damn, I gotta update tonight. I haven't stopped long enough to do so, and I have problems remembering the date. Except when I have a lot of pickups, and have to tell the clients what date to put next to their signatures. 10 days to go. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing at this point.

Howdy! Nice to see you stopping in again. Yes, post pictures of the wee'uns and don't be a stranger. We are all family here.

Anything that isn't blue, or other similar ones with that nasty moldy stuff in it. I love cheese. Mmmmmm, ham & Swiss sammy.

Are you kidding me?? I'm a professional. Where did you see that advertisement?

And boo on him for losing the payroll statements. But he can get a deposit record from his bank with a copy of the check he deposited. -
I think my clients think the same of me! My dog looking for pets, a fluffy kitty in their lap, and at this point, if I'm awake they're lucky. I've been wearing my slippers lately to meet clients.

Paper file the parents return, and amend the kids. No problem. the refund will get held up by the required paper file anyways. I'm sure the service centers see quite a few of these every tax season, especially since the advent of turbotax.

I just shake it until it streaks no matter how many pages I print. Low tech solution.

Crap, even W-2s were later this year. And the tax season is 74 days instead of 102 like last year. It's been hell. And the damn worksheet I was working on last night didn't save and I have to start all over again. It's a spreadsheet, not ATX. I'm about to have a meltdown over a frikkin spreadsheet. You think I'm tired?

And it goes to line 7 of the 1040, not 16. I've lost time on this one for one of my clients in the past. This year I finally remembered where the amount ended up! -
Now that people pay me through PayPal, donating is easier. Now, as soon as Chelle let's me back on my computer, I can send a few bucks too.
