QuickBooks has a trial balance, but I've never used it. It seems an outdated concept to my way of thinking. But I've seen people hand write JEs on 7 column paper before entering them in QuickBooks. Whatever works for ya!

You might want to revise that link, Eric. It has your personal info in it. I read a similar paper (from someone trying to sell me a file sharing service) and it basically came down to "people use really stupid passwords."

I just learned that Firefox has a Zoom Text Only option. Of course, many times I do want to zoom in on a graphic.

I have no use for it. I hate using paper reference when I can search the same thing electronically. Besides I have at least 3 companies offering me the master tax guide every year (ADP, Edward Jones & CCH). Edward Jones gives me electronic access as does CCH. #saveatree

MD can block you from renewing your drivers license or car registration if you owe back taxes of any kind. They aren't Nazis about it and they will grant waivers, but it does get taxpayers attention!

I got back in. No problems using IE.

I gave the book away, since we the guide electronically. I also downloaded the program and the update, so I don't need the CD. The CD is why we have to pay sales tax.

I've never tried overriding a state when I need it to be MFS while the federal is Joint. I've always just made a copy of the client to do just the state. It would be a great enhancement if ATX could handle MFS for states on a joint return.

Wow, that's insane. No wonder they want to audit it. Jeez, I just went back and looked at the original audit letter and they HAD ask for all Sch C expenses but I didn't notice that check mark. We sent then NOTHING for from page expenses except travel and meals and they didn't say a word. They must be so swamped right now that they triage audit responses and if their gut tells them they can't get any money, they just close the audit. Wow.

It's actually called 'business use of home', not home office, so I don't see any problems.
