Corduroy Frog Posted May 12 Report Posted May 12 About a week ago on my way to North Carolina, I stopped in at Rita's place in Crossville, TN. Yes - this is the same Rita that hosted our get-together 6-7 years ago. She looked good in her office perched on a hillside. She and I have been friends for a long time and live an hour plus away. And as I was leaving a pretty young lady came in to have her taxes done. Not a lot else to say, but for some of you that came to her place that year - I thought you like to know that she's still doing well, even though she doesn't post much. Just one of the great people who are on this board. 9 1 Quote
Margaret CPA in OH Posted May 12 Report Posted May 12 Love Rita! I was also fortunate to attend that amazing gathering and visit her again a couple of years later. Good times! Reminiscent of the camaraderie of the ATX group of users and providers in Maine. I'm guessing that not many mega software users do not have such fond memories. 5 Quote
Catherine Posted May 12 Report Posted May 12 Rita is one of the best. Hope she comes back to post more often. That summer get-together is one of my very fond memories. 6 Quote
JohnH Posted May 13 Report Posted May 13 I think Rita's last post was on Feb 22, in a discussion about farming. She said one of her retired farmer clients told her, "You better quit when the cows can run faster than you can." 3 4 Quote

Elrod Posted May 14 Report Posted May 14 I also miss KC Jenkins. She was always very helpful back in the day. 4 Quote
JohnH Posted May 15 Report Posted May 15 KC was always the voice of reason. (Not saying anyone else on this forum isn't, but...) 5 1 Quote
Randall Posted Monday at 02:32 PM Report Posted Monday at 02:32 PM I remember all the names. But I don't always remember what happened to them. I think KC retired. 1 Quote
Randall Posted Monday at 02:34 PM Report Posted Monday at 02:34 PM Like my old accounting professor used to say, 'Old accountants never die, they just get out of balance.' 4 3 Quote

BulldogTom Posted Tuesday at 11:18 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 11:18 PM @Abby Normal what website did you get that radar image from. I have not seen one like that before. @RitaB take care of yourself. This spring the weather is not fooling around. Tom Longview, TX 2 Quote
Corduroy Frog Posted 21 hours ago Author Report Posted 21 hours ago Tornado warnings all afternoon for Tennessee. Damage reports just now coming in. We're OK in Manchester - about an hour plus away from Rita. 5 Quote
Christian Posted 8 hours ago Report Posted 8 hours ago I go back quite aways myself as I like many moved from the Maine produced software (Saber?) to ATX. I miss hearing from Rita and a number of others I no longer see post. I got ready to renew my software this AM and got a threatening email from WK that I appeared to be attempting to access my account from different locations! I had to replace my older computer about a month ago and suspect that is the problem. I have had no small difficulty in connecting with anyone at ATX. Unable to get my rep. What a hassle ! Finally got a call back from tech support which hopefully will resolve the problem. She advised that they had sent out a number of these emails so I am evidently not the only one. This after over twenty years as a client. 1 1 Quote

Abby Normal Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago 2 hours ago, Catherine said: It looks like the "Windy" format. Correct! I have 4 weather apps on my phone: Windy One Weather Google Weather Weather Wise I use mostly the Windy site on the computer. Also fond of https://www.lightningmaps.org You can add weather radar to lightning maps, too. It's a setting. 2 Quote
